"Girl it doesn't take nobody that long." My mom said walking passed my door and laughing.
Once I got done I gathered my purse, turned the lights off, and locked my classroom door. "Excuse me ma'am I'm looking for pastor Hilton." Said this tall bout 6'8 or 6'9, male with the smoothest caramel skin, and waves dressed very nicely. "Hello, unfortunately, pastor Hilton is in an important meeting right now but I can write your name and information down on this paper for me to give to him once he's available," I said to him. "Sure that's f- Maya Raneé Hilton." (Once he said the full name I was scared as hell I'm not going to lie) "Malik Lamar Wade," I said looking shocked.
Malik's POV:
This weekend I was in town for basketball so I decided to come to church with my mom and grandma until I went back. After church, my mom talked for days so I went looking for the pastor to talk to him until I saw this 5'8 young woman coming down the hall and that's when I realized it was Maya.
Maya's POV:
Lord forgive me for what I'm about to say but Damn I can not believe who is standing In front of me...my damn EX yes my Ex the one I saw in Nike. This dude hurt me first he had a baby on me while being in a relationship with me. 2 he got locked up and of course WHO was dumb enough to stay by his side through all of it ME and he was the only boyfriend my parents and family liked.
"Malik Lamar Wade," I said looking shocked. "You don't know how much I missed us, mamas." He said holding my hand. "What "US" that's over and done with when I found out you had a son by that hoe." I was semi-yelled in the hallway of the church. "Baby listen all that she said to you was a lie that baby wasn't even mine she said that to you so she could break us up plus you stayed by my side when I got locked up."
He said holding my head up and wiping my tears from my face. "I just wi-." I was cut off by hearing my momma, sister-in-law, her daughter, Shay, Tae, and my cousin coming around the corner. "Omg Malik honey, I missed you, son." Said my momma hugging him and so did the rest but Tae and Shay. "Honey how about you come over to the house and have dinner with us." Momma said to him "Sure." He said. As I was walking towards the door to leave Simone my sister-in-law could tell I was over it. Once I got in the car I burst out into tears before heading to my parents' house.
Once I arrived at my parents' house I decided to go upstairs into my old bedroom and stripped all my clothes off. I got in the tub to soak in warm water and Epson salt just to clear my mind on what happened today until my phone disturb the peace.

Mommy: Maya Reneé Hilton, I understand you're not on good terms with Malik right now but that's still like a son to me and he is coming over for dinner and you're going to be on your best behavior understand? If you mess this up it's me and you Period. You like how I said Period in the end.
