Malik's POV:
So today is the day I'm going to ask Maya to be my forever and yes I'm hella nervous, but shit this girl has been through everything with me so it's worth it.
"Baby!" I said walking into the house after making reservations for tonight. "I'm upstairs !" She yelled back. Once I got upstairs, she was on the bed looking at engagement rings, and the one she was looking at I already had ordered at the store. "Look babe, I love this one I think you should get this one for me." She said taking her glasses off. "Yea, I like that one too, but I need you to be ready by 8. I'm having dinner with some old friends and their wives and I told them that we'll be there." "Ok, that's fine but I gotta do my makeup." She said getting off the bed looking fine as ever walking towards me and whispering into my ear. "I wanna do something before time." She walked into the restroom. "Not right now, you gotta get moving baby," I said waiting for her to leave so I can call Tae and Shay to let them in on the plan and to meet me at the store.

***At the store***
"That will be $6,351.00." Said the jeweler. "Damn." We all said in unison causing the woman to laugh. "Well, she's gotta be the perfect woman." She said handing me the bag. "Oh, she is I can't wait," I said grinning hella hard.

**Later on that day**
"You ready mamas?" I said waiting on her to come out of the restroom. "Yes, just give me 4 seconds I'm almost done, bae." She said fixing her hair. "Ok, I'm done, bae." She said. Damn, I can't wait till tonight. I thought to myself. "Let's go," I said holding her hand.

**At the restaurant**
Malik's POV:
"Here put this on," I said handing her a blindfold. "Oh hell." She said while taking it. I got out of the car praying this will go right, so I texted Tae and Shay to let them know that we were there and to get in their places. "Come on hold my hand I got you and your purse," I said to her. "Ok, but don't let me go Malik." She said being dramatic as always. Once we got inside I took the blindfold off and everyone yelled "SURPRISE!!". All she could do was cry and hug her family and friends. "Umm, I need to say something, please.
Now it's time and I'm shitting bricks right now.
"First off I want to say thank you to everyone who came out tonight to celebrate Maya, but that's not what we're here for. Maya Hilton, I wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for just being the woman God made you be for me. I know being with me I caused so much pain to you and your family but y'all never gave up on me. The first and last time I got locked up you never switched up, hell you even made sure I had money for those two years, and I appreciate you for being such an amazing woman to me and showing me that I can be whoever I want to be." I said looking at her and wiping her eyes. I got down on my knee and she started crying more and more "Maya Raneé Hilton. Will you marry me?" I said holding her hand. "Yes Yes Yes Yes!" She said jumping and smiling. "Wait!" She said causing everyone to stop what they were doing. "Baby this is the ring I was looking at today!" She said smiling hard asf. "Yea, I know," I said hugging and kissing her forehead.
