Chapter 5: It All Makes Sense Now

Emma's POV:

It's been like 20 minutes, and I just can't set my mind on what exactly to tell Connor. I mean, I don't want him to think that I'm blowing him off or anything. Ok Emma. Text him now. 

"TO: CONNOR- Hey Connor, it's Emma. Listen, I really wanted to see London with you tonight, but a friend of my aunt's was in desperate need of a babysitter tonight and I offered to do it.  I'm sooooo sorry and I hope you don't think I'm blowing you off because I really did want to see you tonight. Can we reschedule? Again sorry :/ Emma xx."

Send. Hopefully he understands.

Connor's POV:

"How do I look?" I ask Nick. I really want to look great for Emma tonight.

"I don't remember mom giving birth to a girl?" Nick says.

"Shut up. Serious though."

"You really want to impress this girl don't you?" he asks.

Before I could answer, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I pull it out to see that it was from Emma. I open it up and read:

Hey Connor, it's Emma. Listen, I really wanted to see London with you tonight, but a friend of my aunt's was in desperate need of a babysitter tonight and I offered to do it. I'm sooooo sorry and I hope you don't think I'm blowing you off because I really did want to see you tonight. Can we reschedule? Again sorry :/ Emma xx.

Damn. That hurts. Nick obviously saw my facial expression change and says, "Dude, everything ok?"

"No. She blew me off. Well, not really, but she can't make it tonight because she had to help out a friend by babysitting."

"Babysitting? That's the oldest excuse in the book!"

"And are you suddenly the expert on girls Nick? Listen it's fine. We'll just reschedule for another night." Nick rolls his eyes and turn his head back to the TV. Jerk. Nick can really be a dick when you call him out on stuff like that. I text Emma back saying: It's totally fine. Have fun babysitting and I'll call you tomorrow to reschedule. Deal? She replies back saying: Deal :). She's so cute.

Emma's POV:

Thank god Connor was ok with it. Now with that issue being resolved, I decided to get ready. My hair actually cooperated with me today. Shocker! Lux was right...I did look like Ariel. In fact, I did bring my light green skater skirt and my purple crop sweater. Ariel colors and comfy. It's a win win! I throw that on and head out to the kitchen and grab an apple out of the fridge. Kelly comes out of her room wearing a metallic gold bodycon dress.

"Damn Kell! Look at you!"

"Really? You like it?" She asks.

"Love it! The men at this party will love you." We both start to laugh. She told me that Lou's address was programmed in the GPS in her car and that I could use it for the night.  I thank her and start the drive over there. 

I pull up into The Teasedale driveway, and damn did they have a nice house.  I ring the doorbell and see Lux running for the door. A man, probably Tom, Lou's husband, opens the door.

"Ariel! Ariel!" Lux shouts. She was so excited.

"You must be Emma! Thank you so much for coming on such short notice. This little bugger over here hasn't stopped talking about 'Ariel' all afternoon!" Tom says.

"Oh no problem! And I've been pretty excited too!"

He shows me where everything is and Lou comes down stairs. "Is Kelly ready?" she asks smiling.

"Ready as ever!" I tell her.

She laughs, kisses Lux goodbye and says, "Emma, you're a lifesaver! Have fun!"

"Bye!" I say and Lux grabs me by the hand and brings me up to her room. She has toys galore and what does she want to do? Play dress up. This is going to be a fun night.

Harry's POV:

"Lads! Let's do something fun tonight!" Louis says. He says that every night, yet he's the only one willing to go anywhere.

I can't stop thinking about that girl from the airport/ ice cream shop. I saw her eyes, crystal blue. And her hair was just gorgeous. I was staring off into space, but was brought back by the buzzing of my phone. It was from Lou. 'Tom and I are at the party. You can go visit Lux if you guys want to! Xx.'

"Guys?" I ask them.

"Yea?" they all reply.

"You wanna go bother Jenna?" Jenna was Lux's babysitter who hates when we come over because Lux only payes attention to us and not her. It's so much fun to torment her. With that, all the boys got up and we  start to run over to Lou's house. Thank god it was only 3 blocks from out flat.

We get to the house and see a strange car in the driveway.

"Damn, looks like Jenna's got some new wheels!" Zayn says laughing.

We run up to the door and start screaming. "Jenna open up...We know you're in there....LUXXXXXXX!!!!" Jenna hates when we knock, scream, and ring the doorbell, which is why we do it.

I peek through the window and see Lux running for the door. We all hop off the porch so we can surprise Jenna when she opens the door.  The door opens and Louis, followed by Zayn, Liam, Niall, and I jump out and yell "WE"RE HERE!!!!!"

Although when we hopped onto the porch, we realized that the girl wasn't Jenna. It was someone new. Holy shit. It was my mystery girl.
