There were only two generators left and three survivors still alive, Jake had copped it earlier in the trial, unusual for the quiet man but no one could be expected to be at the top of their game every trial. Two of the remaining survivors were repairing a generator inside a house, a short girl with tousled light brown curls and an orange Hot Wheels sweater and a girl with long auburn hair pulled into two braids wearing a pink sports jersey with a black jacket. They had two exits, one that led out towards the empty, deserted street, and the other towards the back yard.
Teya yelped as electricity sparked from the broken generator, "Fuck."
"Teya, pay attention!" Meg snapped in a whisper, her blue eyes narrowed, braids flying through the air as she looked around to make sure their cover hadn't been blown.
Just as she was about to quip back, Teya felt a telltale chill run up her spine, and the hairs on her neck stand on end, she looked over to Meg and knew she felt it too.
"He's watching us," Meg stated.
A wry grin appeared on Teya's face, "I got it."
"Teya, no-"
Before the older girl could stop her, Teya was running off in the direction of danger, she had no other choice but to continue fixing the generator and hope her younger teammate managed to evade the Killer for long enough to make it out safely.
Running into the middle of the road, Teya knew all of his attention was now on her. Almost every trial, she played this dangerous game. The possibility of her getting killed was a very real threat- not that it would be permanent, of course. Death was not an escape in the Entity's Realm. And besides, 'as if he could catch me anyway!' A smirk danced on Teya's lips. There was a fine line between being crazy and being brave, and Teya enjoyed dancing along said line, the other survivors had their own theories of whether or not she was actually suicidal but the young girl paid them no mind. Why should she care?
Large hazel doe eyes scanned over the street around her, examining every shadow for the white mask she knew was watching her. A flash in the corner of her eye let her know exactly where he was. She narrowed her eyes before finally spotting him lurking behind a car, knife in one black, gloved hand and an old flip phone in the other. The two were locked in a silent stare down for a moment before Teya's lips stretched into a playful grin, her expression challenging.
"Come on then, Ghostie, catch me if you can!" With a childish giggle, she took off, almost leaving a trail of fire behind her, the Ghostface running in pursuit. Teya always gave a good chase, it was common knowledge amongst Killers.
She looked over her shoulder every so often, as she weaved effortlessly in between cars and lamp posts, trash cans and bushes, as to not lose sight of her pursuer. That was a very dangerous thing to do. His black leather outfit ensured he could disappear into the shadows when stalking his victims, Teya had been caught off guard by that tactic several times during their first few trials together, but his mask was white, a face stretched into a ghostly scream, eyes and mouth black.
Sliding over the hood of a car, she could feel the knife cutting through the air, only just missing her back. He was gaining on her quickly but Teya was used to that, she knew how to get away. Ghostface lunged, slashing his knife through the air, hitting nothing when Teya managed to dart out of the way and around a tree. Leaves crunched under her boots as she sprinted, breaths becoming short and rapid, her heartbeat pounded heavily in her ears. 'It's just a game,' Teya reminded herself, beginning to struggle to evade her chaser. 'It's just a game. It's just a game.' She repeated the mantra to herself, darting around trees and dodging the Killer's attacks. On the outside, she remained as relaxed as ever, just because she wasn't as crazy as she seemed didn't mean that everyone had to know that!
