As I entered the library I looked around at the table and book cases, waiting for something to catch my eye. But what caught my eye, well, it wasn't him. He wax sitting at a table in the coner with the goregeous Kate Madkins. What was i thinking? Why didn't i think to ask if they were still together?! Then it would be obvious you liked him silly! Now shut up and go over there! My brain argued with me.
I crossed the room and cleared my throat, "Hey anthony."
"Oh hey Haley. I hope you dont mind that Kate joins us. She came over last minute and i couldn't just leave her behind."
"Uh, no, no problem. She can borrow my book." I reached into my bag and pulled out my book.
"Oh psh sweetheart. What do you think I am stupid?" she pulled out her book too and I sighed taking my book back.
"So what are you struggling with Anthony? We should talk about the harder parts we dont get first." I sat down next to him, my arm brushing his on the table as I opened my book.
"Anthony, why didn't you just tell me you were struggling? I'm totally passing this class and you always know i could help you with anything" she winked because she knew it was driving me up the wall.
I struggled in silence as we all studied for about an hour. I got up to get a book froma shelf and she struttered her pretty little self up over to me.
"Look slob, Anthony appreciates me more and I sure don't need anyone stealing his attention."
"Well why on earth would anyone do that, brat..." I mumbled under my breath
"What was that?"
"Nothing, just I gotta go." I put the book down and went back to the table gathering my stuff. "See ya later Anthony."
I walked away holding back my tears when i heard him call, "Haley wait."
I stopped and turned back to him in tears. "You forgot your notebook." he handed me the worn down grey notebook.
I sighed and just gave fake little laugh and then walked off again.
"Haley? Wait stop!" There was no stopping me now. I sped up and walked out of the place and got in my car driving home. The road got blurrier but then I sucked it all in. It's not even worth it.
