It was a lovely day, the sun shining like never before, the grass swishing in the calm wind, the village quiet, perhaps too quiet. It's not like it bothered him though, this is the way he liked it, this is the way he always liked it, this is the way he wanted it to be every single day. Deciding it was too good of a day to be spent lounging inside, he went to the window to stare at his beautiful village. He stared for what felt like an eternity, he didn't want to look back.

Slowly enough, his forced smile faded as tears ran down his face, there was no village, only the ruins, it had been destroyed long ago. Every day he pondered to himself, whether or not what happened could've been prevented, or if it was destined to fall apart at some point. Even he knew that, soon enough, his final days were bound to come sooner or later. He walked out of his house for the first time in forever and sat on the last patch of fresh grass in the village to await his inevitable death.

He pondered back to the time where everything changed.
