"Dior? I think it's time we have that chat!" Debbie sang, rapping on the girls bedroom door.
Mrs Mount had called over for an unexpected visit while Daisie and Mason were in the middle of their awkward and spacious phase. Spacious because they couldn't be within five metres of eachother without cringing.
Daisie, dressed only in her flower jammies, opened her door to the female Mount. "Sorry. I wasn't aware you were here," Daisie smiled at the woman and sat back onto her bed. "Do you and my son not know what communicating is?" Debbie asked, pulling a genuine puzzled look as Daisie only gave a deep sigh in response.
"Well. There hasn't been much of that recently!" Daisie stammered. Deborah noticed this and picked up on it almost immediately. "Dior, why so?" She enquired.
Daisie Dior Delore paused for a moment, torn whether to tell Masons mother or not. Mason himself was upstairs in his gaming room after showing Deborah his best friends room and disappeared.
Daisie took a deep breath, preparing for Debbie to scold her. "We had a party that wasn't actually supposed to be a party and Mase and I were drunk and one thing lead to another and.." the Delore girl trailed off, shifting her gaze to the bottom of her hoodie which was suddenly very interesting. What she didn't see was the look of pure amusement on Mrs Mounts face.
Deborah Mount had been waiting for this day since both kids could walk. She could tell that they always had this bond and would eventually not hide their feelings for eachother anymore.
"Do you feel anything for him?" Debbie asked softly, tipping Daisies chin up with her fingers. From the look on the young girls face, Debbie could tell that she was conflicted.
Daisie Dior only sighed, "yeah, I guess I always have but these feelings only surfaced when I moved back. I really like Mason, I just don't want to ruin things between us and I feel like that night really set us back. We haven't spoken more than five words to each other never mind speaking about it" the girl explained.
The older woman just smiled and rubbed Daisies hand. She had already spoken to Mason before the girl and he hadn't actually said much. He only gave one or two word answers when Debbie asked him something and shortly after gave up.
Daisie just sighed when the older woman didn't say anything. If there was something Daisie Dior needed right there, it was guidance.
"I cant tell you how to go about this, my lovely but I can tell you this: trust your gut and follow your heart but always listen to your head." The older woman finally spoke up, giving the girl beside her hope. Daisie felt too tired and messed up in her head to argue with Masons mother anymore. Albeit, she did take a mental note on Debbies kind and helpful words.

"Mase?" The young girl knocked on the door of his bedroom.
Debbie Mount had left the house at 3:08pm that day and Daisie continued to lay in bed after the older woman left, still conflicted with her feelings but drowning them out with the sound of Kanye West on repeat. After a while, the brunette finally built up the courage to speak to Mason Mount.
There was no response from the other side of the closed door so Daisie gently pushed the handle and entered the room. To her surprise, her best friend was not alone. He had a girl over.
The footballer was laying on his bed with a blonde, stick figured girl straddling his lap. Masons head snapped over to the door and remained silent.
Daisie couldn't help the blaring sound of cracking from her heart. She truly was at a loss for words at the scene. Although the Delore girl was never good at coming to terms with her emotions, she had come to the realisation at her feelings for Mason and was ready to act on them. That was until she realised he had moved on.
"Hey girl, we are sort of in the middle of something" the blonde girl sickenly sweetly smiled at the brunette in the door. Daisies eyes switched from the strange girls face to Masons and back.
Mason looked blank. Blank canvas style. His face truly was empty from all emotions and Daisie knew it all too well. She had always had a gift for reading people but at that moment, she could only see how much she had played herself.
Daisie snapped her head to face the floor and blinked back the tears she didn't know she had. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise," she hummed softly, trying to mask her hurt.
As the brunette disappeared behind the door again, Mason Mount felt nothing but insane guilt, not focusing on the other girl that was undoing his drawstrings on his joggers.
