I looked at the clock on the wall in front of me for about the millionth time, and the time said that the time was only 8:30, four hours since I had gotten here.  It won't be for another hour and thirty minutes until I can able leave here.  By now, Lauren and Luke were nearly sleeping in their seats, their heads bobbing occasionally slowly as if they were drifting off.  I feel bad for doing this to them, but this is how I'm able to afford everything.  Even then, I'm still barely passing by.

Today has been pretty slow, so I was able to spend a little time on my weekend homework.  Normally I get it done as soon as I can, but I was in such a rush that I completely forgot about it until I got here.  At least my boss doesn't mind.  My boss is a middle-aged woman, but she's very sweet and often lets Lauren and Luke play in her office if they're good.  However, she doesn't seem to be here today, so they've been out here the whole time

"Logan!"  Lauren yells out of the blue as she jumps out of her seat to hug the auburn-headed boy from earlier.  Luke dazily lifts his head up from the table to see what Lauren yelled about before widening his eyes and joining their hug attack.  Behind the mass of hugging children, there's a boy who looks very similar to Logan who must be in his early twenties.  It must be his brother, but I could be wrong.

As I came back to my senses, I realized that the kids were blocking the man's way, so I ran up to Lauren and Luke and grabbed the back of their shirts so they would move away from the door.  They whined in protest, but I gave them the 'evil look' as they call it, making them shut up.

"I'm so sorry about this, sir.  Lauren, Luke, say you're sorry to him right--"  I'm interrupted by a large, masculine hand on my shoulder, making me jump from the sudden contact.

"It's not a problem.  Really.  I honestly thought that it was adorable..."  He chuckles as I get up from my crouching position.  As I stand up, I decide to momentarily take in his appearance.  Shaggy brown hair covers his ocean blue eyes as he continues to laugh.  I can tell he's easily over six feet tall, making my 5'4 height even more miniscule than it already is.  He has a striped black and white t-shirt on with a black zip-up hoodie, and I can easily see that he has abs along his stomach.  As I finish mind oggling his stomach, I see the light denim jeans he has on with a pair of black sneakers on his feet.

"Okay, what would you like to order?"  I say quietly once I got behind the counter, hiding the blush across my face when I realized I just checked him out.  Lauren and Luke had taken Logan away to their coloring station to let him play while his brother, who I'm not sure is his brother or not, ordered their food.

"Um, just two hot chocolates, please."  He says while looking back at Logan, Luke, and Lauren, who were busily coloring in the coloring books.

"Would you like anything on it?"  I say quietly as I begin making the hot chocolate behind the counter.  Don't make eye contact, don't make eye contact, don't make eye contact!

"I guess whipped cream on both of them.  Are those two your siblings or something?"  He says with a chuckle as he watched Lauren show a bright-pink dinosaur to Logan, who was staring at it in admiration.

"Yup.  And I'm guessing Logan's your brother?"  I question while getting the mugs and pouring the hot milk into them

"Yeah.  We actually moved here recently, so we decided to stop unpacking for a bit at get a small treat.  I'm glad I did, though, because I got to meet you."  As he says this, I freeze up before I regain myself and continue working, as if I hadn't heard a thing

"Thanks, I guess.  Uh, here's your hot chocolate?"  I say this ending with a question as I set the two steaming cups onto the counter, waiting for him to pick it up and sit down when I notice him staring at me.  "Is there something wrong?"

"No, it's just...  your eyes..."  His speech drifts off as he continues to look in my eyes, gradually moving closer to get a better look.  Crud, I looked him in the eyes.  I guess he's staring at my weird eye coloration, which was one eye was a light blue and the other was a chocolate brown.

"Oh, it's not really a big deal..."  I mutter as I look down at the floor, pushing my glasses up every couple of seconds to keep the from sliding off.  No one's ever talked to me like this before, so you could say that I'm pretty new to this

"Well, it's an unusual thing.  I like it!"  He says while pulling my chin up to make me look up, showing me a smile with the whitest smile I've ever seen.  Wait, why are his teeth such a big deal to me?

"Oh, thanks...  Here's your hot chocolate..."  I mumble for a second time to him, gesturing towards the still steaming mugs of hot chocolate that were still sitting on the glass counter.

"Thank you.  Logan, the hot chocolate's ready!"  He yells towards the three kids, only to be responded by Logan popping his head towards his brother before running straight towards him.  Once he reached the counter, he smiles a classic 5-year-old smile before following his brother towards a table with both of the hot-chocolate mugs.  He sets on the table next to the one laurne and Luke are at, says a couple of things to him, then walks back towards me with the mug of chocolate I made in his hands

"Is there anything else you would like?"  I say shyly as I begin to clean off the machines behind the counter, which were getting annoyingly dirty and built up with grime.  Other than the fact it was unimaginably dirty, it gave me an excuse to not have to look at him

"Umm, I was wondering if, uhh, I could have your....  number?"  I stop cleaning to take a quick look at him before looking back at the coffee machine and furiously cleaning like no tomorrow.

"I don't have a phone..."  I say quietly as a mouse before moving on to the counter

"Umm, do you have a Facebook or Twitter?"  He asks again, looking uncomfortable as he scratches the back of his neck.

"No computer, either."  I mumble even more quiet than I realized, making him lean in to hear me.

"So, no phone.  No computer.  How am I going to talk to you again?"  When I look up from cleaning the counter, I see he has the most innocent face I could ever imagine on him.  What do I do?  I don't know how to deal with guys!

"Uhm, how about we meet up some time?"  I say, shocking myself with my sudden boldness

"Sure, where at?"  He took a sip of his chocolate, which anyone would assume cooled off by now.  It wasn't, and he ended up doing a silly dance when he burned his tongue.

"Hahaha, oh my gosh!  Please, stop!"  I laugh, tears forming in my eyes from laughing so hard.  By the time he had regained himself, I was still occasionally giggling.  He playfully glared at me every time I did so, and I was eventually able to sober up.  "Oh, uh, what about back here tomorrow?  It's my day off that day, but do you mind if I bring my brother and sister?  They can't really be by themselves..."

"Oh, sure!  If you don't mind me asking, though, why can't your parents watch them while you're gone?"  He gives me a questioning look, yet it almost seems like he knows the answer.  Oh no, he hasn't heard about my parents and is already freaked out by me, is he?  Can't risk it!

"It's not that, they're just, uhh, out on a work trip for a little while, I guess..."  Stupid!  He's looking at you funny, you completely messed this up

"Yeah, okay.  It's completely fine then, if that's the case.  So tomorrow is a date!  See you then.  Logan, come on, we need to go back to the house!"  he walks over towards the group of kids to grab his brother and walk out of the cafe with their cups, him waving at me while walking out the door.

"Oh my god..."  I mutter, putting my elbows on the table and dropping my head into my hands.  What have I done?

I'm going on a date with a guy who's name I don't even know!
