Vincent had to hurry home before he was caught in the woods. He burst through his door and made a break for the bathroom sink, throwing up with the faucet running. It hurt, but not as much as his eyes, sore from crying saltwater mixed with ink. He crashed against the wall, face in his hands, shaking
"Why did I do that," Vincent sobbed. "Wendy- Wendy I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, sorry, sorry- why, why did I do that?"
He hardly even noticed he was rocking until it stopped. When he finally calmed down, he shook his dead out and scoffed at himself. It took a few years for Vincent to sort his thoughts out after that. He was seventeen, almost eighteen when he finally killed again. This time, it was an old school friend of his; Seth.
The death of dear little Wendy would always haunt Vincent, even if he didn't want to admit it. But Seth... Vincent had come to realize he always hated him. They were friends once, from the time Vincent was six until twelve when Vincent inevitably spiralled into madness and abandoned Seth. In Vincent's eyes, Seth was a burden. He seemed too clingy and obsessive. The look on the boy's face when Vincent had killed Seth's sister was more exhilarating than the actual death of the girl.
Seth was a year and a half younger than Vincent, so he was around sixteen when Vincent decided to kill him. Seth had a girlfriend at the time, Joanne was her name, from the conversations Vincent had overheard on occasions where he would lurk around the part of town where Seth lived. He found it best to figure his way into Seth's schedule that would make his death the least noticeable. Unfortunately for Vincent, Seth was seldom alone. So, he planted a rumour into a conversation that Joanne had died, and, conveniently, she never showed up to school that day after being locked up in her house by her father.
Seth, believing the lie, tried to take his life later that day. Vincent stood on the same rooftop to watch; he didn't even have to get majorly involved. Or so he thought. Joanne intervened just before Seth was able to throw himself from the top of a building, bringing a stop to the attempt.
Vincent, upset by this, pulled his gun out and shot the two on the edge of the building; Seth once in the gut and Joanne twice in the spine. They fell, dying on the ground below on impact. Vincent slipped into the building to make his "grand appearance" at the front doors. Removing his hood and the bandages from his face, Vincent threw the doors open, a gun in one hand and a kitchen knife in the other.
The people in the streets screamed upon seeing the infamous Vincent King kill again for the first time in nearly three years. Two police officers burst through the crowd warning Vincent to put the weapons down and his hands behind his head, to which he responded by shooting them both to the point that they were on the ground bleeding, receiving no shots in return (don't question where he gets the bullets from, he probably steals them). Vincent grinned deviously, eyeing the crowd as he stuffed the gun into his jacket after turning on the safety. He twirled the knife in his hand, approaching one of the officers.
"I don't appreciate you interrupting my line of work," he said, crouching down. "Nice hat. Mind if I take it?"
Slashing an "X" shape into the officer's gut like he had done with Davin a few years prior, Vincent flipped the hat into his head and plunged his hand into the wound. More people screamed as he yanked on the officer's large intestine, ripping it out violently. The second police officer tried to reach for his gun, to which Vincent responded by shooting him in the head with the gun of the first officer. He then stuffed the other two guns in his pockets, giving himself a total of three.
"I'll be taking these," He said as he draped the blood-dripping intestine over his shoulders like a scarf.
He walked over to the bodies of Seth and Joanne, holding Seth under his arm and Joanne over his shoulder, walking away unscathed and unstopped. Vincent disposed of both bodies in two different places, Seth in the dumpster behind the old horror house, and Joanne by the junkyard in the lot behind the diner. He made his way home after that.
