12| Desperate

The door swung open revealing Taehyun. The door closed and Beomgyu quickly went to the entrance. Beomgyu saw Taehyun and nearly broke down "Taehyun... thank god you're back. Are you okay?" Taehyun was confused "Um yeah I'm fine... Are you?"

Beomgyu smiled with tears in his eyes and quickly went up to hug him tightly.

Taehyun was just weirded out "Beomgyu want to tell me what's going on?"

Beomgyu wanted to but it was hard to bring back the past and tell it to someone else "Okay but why don't we sit down first."

Taehyun obediently followed and sat on the couch facing Beomgyu.

Beomgy took a deep breath "Okay then so in my last year of high school I bumped into some guy while I was eating ice cream. Since he felt bad he bought me another one and took me back home"

Taehyun wondered why he never heard of this story but he just quietly hummed

Beomgyu stopped for a second recalling all the emotions he felt back then, nonetheless he continued "Before I got into my house he got my snap and when I woke up the next day he asked me out to eat so being kind I told him we could as long as he picked me up"

Beomgyu felt tears in his eyes again "A few months into dating, we had sex. When we woke up we took a day to have fun. And after that day I tried messaging him but I was blocked everywhere. He was such an asshole and just ghosted me after he got what he wanted. I was delusional. He seemed so kind but it was all an act"

Taehyun felt bad for Beomgyu and he thought this guy seemed like such a dick.

Taehyun hugged Beomgyu and caressed his back "It's okay Hyung, he wasn't worth your time"

Beomgyu sniffled into Taehyun's shoulder and looked back up while wiping off the tears "Yeah he was a terrible guy. I hope Haneol doesn't do it to anyone else"

Taehyun laughed but it quickly faded. No. It couldn't possibly be the same guy, right?

Taehyun wondered if Beomgyu had seen them but before making any assumptions he asked "Did you by any chance see me with someone at the park today"

Beomgyu softly smiled "Yeah it seemed like you enjoyed his lips"

Taehyun turned around. Taehyun was a bright shade of pink. Taehyun had so many thoughts going through his head. Why did he have to see us? What if he thinks I go messing around with everyone? Wait what if Beomgyu's disappointed because I kissed someone that made him suffer?

After taking a deep breath in he turned back around "Hey Beom? Should I not go out with him, he seemed interesting in dating me"

Beomgyu stared blankly " I mean its kind of up to you but you should be careful so you don't end up hurt"

With that Beomgyu went to his room and shut his door leaving Taehyun wondering what his answer meant. It wasn't a no but he seemed worried.

Taehyun grabbed a glass of water and headed towards his room

Taehyun unlocked his phone and it was no other than Haneol. Taehyun was being asked to go on a date next weekend.

He left it on read and made up his mind... he would answer by tomorrow night. He went to sleep and just hoped to have a good day the following day.

After a good nights sleep the sun was shining and unfortunately it was a school day. He showered and picked a nice outfit.

He saw breakfast on the table and saw Beomgyu heading out the door. Taehyun assumed Beomgyu must have wanted to be early for class or maybe he had something to do but who cares there was some delicious breakfast.

Taehyun quickly ate and headed to class. Today was a busy day for both of them, the teachers had no mercy on them.

Finally, the bell rang and they were free to leave.

Beomgyu's P.O.V.

Beomgyu headed towards the cafe just like most days, he had an afternoon shift at the cafe. He walked to the cafe and quickly headed towards the back to put on his apron and made his way to the coffee maker.

The cafe had a calm atmosphere and there was a bunch of students from HA as always. he did as much as he could to be helpful, eventually he was asked to take over the cashier. He went to the cashier and finally the end of his shift was near. He heard the bell on the door ring and looked up to see Taehyun?

Taehyun quickly made his way to Beomgyu "I would like to get a salted caramel latte" Beomgyu smiled and went to go get his drink on the way back he saw Taehyun got a notification from Haneol.

Taehyun looked down at his phone but just left him on delivered. Taehyun went to sit down and get some work done before the cafe closed.

Taehyun stretched and closed his laptop, he was finally done and just in time too. Taehyun got up and looked for Beomgyu. He saw him saying goodbye to his co-workers and he patiently waited until he was done so they could walk home together.

He waved towards Beomgyu and they went out the door. Beomgyu smiled "Looks like you waited for me"

Taehyun chuckled "yeah I wanted to walk home together"

"So how was work today" Taehyun asked

"It was okay" Beomgyu replied

Taehyun just hummed and they continued walking.

Taehyun opened the door and they took off their shoes.

Taehyun wondered "Have you eaten yet hyung?"

Beomgyu shook his head no

Taehyun looked concerned "Hyung you should eat something. I'll make you something...!why don't you shower or do homework while I cook"

Beomgyu shook his head and thought 'wow sounds like a parent'

Beomgyu went to shower and then quickly completed as much work as he could at the dining table, while Taehyun cooked.

He saw Taehyun's phone on the table light up. Beomgyu was annoyed, it was Haneol again. Beomgyu wondered what he wanted so he read what was on the screen

"Hey cutie time is running out. Want to go out?"

Beomgyu snickered, Haneol sounded desperate. It was disgusting. He couldn't let Taehyun date a piece of shit like him.

Taehyun turned off the stove and served Beomgyu his food. He sat down and was about to reach for his phone when Beomgyu held his hands and looked at Taehyun with soft eyes "Hey Tyun why don't we try dating?"
