19| The promise

Taehyun felt electric jolts in his body. He saw his whole life in 7 seconds.

He looked so cute as a toddler. He saw his first day of kindergarten and all of his childhood friends.

It jumped to when he was in middle school and then to high school. He missed those days, he only felt happiness back then.

He saw flashes of when he met Beomgyu. Shortly after he could see all 5 of them being together. Then it all got blurry and he saw himself running in the rain.

Taehyun saw Beomgyu in the hospital bed. The next thing he saw was himself swallowing the pills...

He was overwhelmed with emotions. He felt dizzy. Suddenly he was in a black room and he saw Yeonjun, Soobin, and Hueningkai.

They were crying but where were they? It was present, Taehyun was in the room next to Beomgyu and the heart monitor started to flat line.

But who found him?

Of course, it was Yeonjun. He went to see if Taehyun was okay but the door was locked and he wasn't answering.

He grabbed the key under the mat and went inside "Taehyun where are you?"

The older was met with silence. He looked around and saw no signs of the latter. "Taehyun this isn't funny, where are you?"

He turned around and saw something he never wanted to see "Taehyun.... " he sobbed as he saw Taehyun's cold body on the ground with the bottle spilled on the floor

He was terrified, he felt pain and soon his tears started coming out uncontrollably. "Taehyun why would you do this?"

Yeonjun froze, he didn't know what to do. He felt so much adrenaline going through his body. He made his best effort to grab his phone.

His hands were shaking but he dialed for an ambulance.

He needed to save his friend, he would never forgive himself if he was too late. "TAEHYUN... you better not leave us yet"

Yeonjun called Soobin but he could no longer think straight and everything was a blur. The next thing he remembers was getting in the ambulance with Soobin and Kai.

As soon as they got to the hospital Taehyun started to flatline and the nurses took them out of the room.

Taehyun saw light coming from the dark. It was a person coming closer to him. It was Beomgyu?

Beomgyu spoke up "We shouldn't be here, don't you think we should get back to them?"

"But why are you here?" Taehyun asked

"Because we are both fighting for our lives Taehyunnie" The older smiled

Taehyun hummed "I... am not sure I want to go back"

"I know, I saw what you tried. But bub, we still need to experience more. How can I date you if we are both dead?" Beomgyu asked

Taehyun blushed "Ok but promise me you'll be waiting for me once I wake up"

Beomgyu smiled "Definitely bub. But we have to go now, time is running out." he said and looked into Taehyun eyes

"Are you ready?" the older asked

Taehyun nodded. Beomgyu took Taehyun's hand and they ran closer to the light.

Taehyun slowly opened his eyes and saw Yeonjun holding his hand. He gave it a little squeeze and smiled.

Yeonjun looked up "Taehyun you're awake"

Taehyun nodded but where we the others?

"Hyung where are Soobin and Kai?" Taehyun asked

Yeonjun smiled "They are with Beomgyu, he also woke up."

Taehyun smiled like his world lit up.

Yeonjun was glad but "Taehyun please promise me you'll never try to do that again"

"I'm sorry hyung. I wish I didn't put you through that" Taehyun's smiled dimmed

Taehyun looked at Yeonjun "I promise"

Beomgyu's P.O.V.

Beomgyu woke up to see Soobin and Hueningkai asleep. He chuckled a little. Soobin woke up hearing Beomgyu laugh "Beom, YOU WOKE UP"

Beomgyu giggle seeing the older "Yes, I made a promise to someone"

Soobin hugged him tightly and called over a nurse to check on him.

The male nurse spoke "Well of course we'll have to run some labs but he should be free to go in 3 days"

Where was Hueningai you may wonder? He was in dreamland, thinking of plushies

The nurse left shortly after.

Soobin took his chance and went up to Hueningkai "HYUKA WAKE THE FUCK UP, NOW"

Hueningkai woke up all confused "OMG has the apocalypse started? Hyung HURRY"

Beomgyu laughed at Hueningkai's stupidity "No dumbass, I woke up"

Hueningkai giggled "I'm glad"

Beomgyu looked in front of him and saw a painting. It was beautiful. It was awfully familiar, he looked closer and saw a signature.

He knew who it was 'Awwww, he must have painted it for me. Taehyun is such a loser for me'

Beomgyu uwu ed. He blushed remembering what he had told the younger.

Soobin was happy for the younger. Hueningkai took the chance to tease Beomgyu a bit but let's spare you the second-hand embarrassment.

Hueningkai left shortly after because he had some things to do.

Beomgyu asked for a wheelchair, as his bones were weak. He asked Soobin to take him to Taehyun's room.

Taehyun was awake, and laughing with Yeonjun

"Baby you're awake" said Beomgyu full of love

Taehyun immediately looked in the direction of the voice. He blushed and turned around, trying to not face him.

However, Beomgyu had no shame whats so ever. The older went towards Taehyun and used his index finger to make the latter face him.

Beomgyu looked at Taehyun and leaned in close to his ear "Aw shy now, are we?" he whispered.

Even though both of his hyungs were there, he gently caressed the younger soft skin.

He looked at something he wanted too much from the younger, his lips. He gently grabbed the youngers face and asked for consent "Bub, can I kiss you?"

Taehyun leaned in and stole the kiss. He smiled through the kiss. He had been yearning for the older warmth through so long.

They both enjoyed the warmth, it was gentle and full of love. They felt fireworks in their stomachs.

They pulled away, lacking air and panting heavily. Soobin and Yeonjun stood there shocked and decided to leave them alone, after all they had been apart for so long.

Beomgyu connected their foreheads "I love you "

Taehyun smiled softly "I love you more"

They stayed together and talked all day. It seemed like a fairytale.
