Deja Vu

Peter swings on the buildings back to the house where the party was at. He was not going to let her die too. Not if there was anything he could do to stop it. The bubble is a few inches from full when he arrives. "Oh no." He mumbles as he looks around for the bad guy. Nadia is screaming and fighting to get out without any luck. "Nadia!" Peter yells at her and makes a nice landing on the bubble trying to get her out. A guy all in black appears and starts laughing. "Nice to see you here Spider-Man. I was hoping you'd show up. Any of the other Avengers on it's way like Iron Man? Oh, wait." He laughs very loudly. That hurt Peter pretty badly. Even though it had been years. "I am all you need to deal with." Peter shoots a web at the top of the house and kicks the man right in the stomach. The man doesn't seem to be fighting back while Peter keeps kicking and smacking him. Lightning appears out of nowhere and strikes the bubble. "Dude, get the girl!" Thor yells at him and Peter snaps out of it. The bubble pops and the water with Nadia falls back into the lake. Peter jumps in the water to get Nadia. "Jarvis, activate water vision please." He lands in the water as Jarvis says: "Water vision activated." He looks around in the water trying to find Nadia. Her body is motionless in the water. Her hair softly drifting around her and her hands floating up as the rest of her body sinks deeper. Peter swims as fast as he can to her and holds her tight while swimming back up. He runs on the sand out of the water. Her motionless body hangs in his arms. He takes off his mask and lays her down on the sand. Tears run down his face as he pushes on her chest and blows air in her lungs. "Please Nadia, wake up." Flashbacks enter his mind. The plane engine caught fire as he and MJ were on it. It all happened really fast. Him suiting up, saving as many people as he could. Wanda came to help, but she didn't get in time to help him save MJ. She hit the ground with ten other people. That wasn't the worst part. MJ didn't die on impact. Her body got crushed under the plane parts and died in his arms smiling. "It's not your fault." Were her last words to him. He wasn't about to let Nadia die too. "Please Nadia, don't give up on me." He's crying as he keeps trying to blow air in her lungs. Eventually water leaves her mouth and she starts coughing. Peter puts back on the mask and looks at her. "Are you okay?" She opens her eyes slowly and nods. Her mouth opens, but it's easy to tell that she's too exhausted to talk. "It's okay, you don't have to say anything. I'm going to make sure you're completely fine." He picks her up again. "Jarvis, activate heater." "Heater activated." The suit warms up and Nadia snuggles up against him for the warmth. Peter shoots webs against the buildings and swings back to the Avengers headquarters.

Thor smacks down the guy in black. "Why aren't you fighting back?" All he does is laugh. Thor stands in front of the guy as he lays on the ground. It doesn't make sense for a bad guy to just bubble a girl and not fight back. He takes off the mask and it's a tape recorder. Whoever was here left before Peter got there and left this fake." Thor breaks the recorder and the endless laughing stops. He picks up the fake and flies back to the headquarters. He throws the fake in front of Bruce and sighs. "Can you check this out for whatever?" He nods as Thor throws his hammer aside and walks to the hospital section to look for Peter. "Hey kiddo. How is she doing?" The girl lays in the bed fast asleep and Peter is sitting next to her in his suit. Thor has a hard time anticipating his facial expressions, but he can tell that he is not happy. "She's alive." His voice is breaking. Nadia wakes up and shoots up in panic.  Peter jumps up to hold her. "You're okay. Calm down." She looks at him and calms down. "Thank you." Her arms wrap around his neck and she pulls him into a hug. "Yeah, no problem. Just doing my job." Nadia nods and takes off is mask. "What are you do-" She smiles and kisses Peter's cheek. "You're voice gave it away and the fact that you knew my name when you arrived. Thank you Peter." He blushes and tears fill his eyes as he pulls her in a tight hug. She is kind of taken by surprise. "I am so glad that you're okay." Nadia runs her fingers through his hair. Thor coughs and Peter backs up. He smirks and says: "You kids don't even properly know each other and you are already acting like a married couple." Peter blushes even harder and Nadia giggles. "I mean love at first sight is a thing." He looks surprised at those words. Like does she really love him? A wave of excitement goes through his body and a huge smile appears on his face. Then his smile suddenly disappears. What if he can't save her next time? Will being with him put her in more danger or under protection? He stands up and walks out of the room and mumbles a sorry right before leaving. Nadia is confused by the sudden mood change and sighs. Thor takes place in the chair next to her. "He'll come around. He just needs a bit more time." She nods and lays back down. "You should get some more rest." He stands up and leaves the room as well. Her eyes wonder to the outside and sighs again. "It'll be alright." She whispers those words to herself before closing her eyes and trying to get some more sleep.
