After such a long, boring week of school, all I want is to sleep. I already need a vacation. Luckily, my mom's friend and her son are going swimming at the lake.
When a pickup truck pulls up, I knew something wasn't right. Zac and a bunch of boys jump out of the truck but I recognize them. His brothers? He never mentioned his brothers.. he said it was just me, him, and his mom. I panick and run past him saying I have to use the bathroom. I lock the door and sit in the floor. I think I sat there for a while though because when I walked out Zac was standing by the door waiting.
"Why were you taking so long?" Ugh. Myy stomach just turns and I will have to make something up. "I uh.. I think I got a stomach bug." He raises an eyebrow. "Well are you ok?" I don't want to tell him what I was really doing so I ignore it. "I'm fine, ok? Let's go swim."
I come up out of the water and wipe it all off my face, but one of Zac's oldest brothers comes up behind me and scares me. Well he didn't exactly scare me, but I did sort of scream. "Woah! I just hugged you bro." Seriously Kyrah? It was just a hug. "Oh uh, I was laughing. Right. Haha" He looks at me clearly annoyed. Why does Zac's family have to be so smart? "Hey, are you feeling better by the way? Zac was worried and said you were sick." I roll my eyes. "I'm fine. Leave me alone." I swim away and get out of the water. After wrapping myself up in a towel, I walk home.
