MARY's Theory of Happiness

Again our years run on by

My mind filling up with happy memories-

Before the world had turned upside down in our lives

Well let me explain, be patient with me please...

Little house of white and green, we all had more space than needed

To and fro they screemed their words, making plans of their own so it seemed

Looking deep into our eyes, so blue in all three- well, all but me

Hidden just beneath our memories grown ups never see..

[1] Anger in his face he said "You're a monster deep inside!" He laughed at me.

But they're wrong and so I said "That's not true at all, I'm perfect."

"This face you hate so much, I gladly wear it proud! No really."
"I'm okay, no need to be jealous anymore." [1]

When they got mad or scared, they knew I cared

I was a middle child and tried my best to

"Hey guys, look over here!" A piece of paper,

Colored in lines of blue crayon!

[2] Dye it in madder of blue skies, so we can all laugh

Just because we played pretend, it doesn't mean nothing

So maybe just a little , we'll smile again-

And always be one big happy family... [2]

I hope they're happy and laughing at every new day.

And if they just couldn't take it, they wont run away..

"I love you guys, so I made this for you!"

And so the clouds drift on a day fun and new.

Blowing heat into the air, the adult world we knew was changing too

[3] Something wrong we couldn't see, a migration- 'new start' -so it seemed.

Billow tears and fade away, my life has been stopped- Nothing matters

No one seems to notice, but it's all dying into black...

Oh what went wrong? Why now? I knew, deep down,

I couldn't tell a single soul how I felt.

"God, no! oh please don't destroy what I had found.." [3]

In came a world where our family died and flew out

Oh madder blue no, I beg you!

Can take no more

Why can't you stop breaking futures

So there'll be tomorrow?

The tears never stop falling- The answer is clear

Hiding behind smiles from ear to ear

[4] If they were my eyes, such blue eyes, I wonder could I

be their one and only sister who saves their future? [4]

I'm clumsy awkward.. and shameful no less

But this assignment, I must work alone...

Now settled and found a school, but we still feel in the dark- God help us,

Let us smile all the time start getting along with each other

They've all forgotten me,  or maybe just hurt- I wonder...

Have I become for them their best sister by now?

Will you remember the word I loved with every bit inside me?

That "family," ah how strange it is, the feeling

And as tomorrow breaks, I hope you love it too......

This is a technical parody of the Kagerou Project song Ayano's Theory of Happiness. I changed many parts to fit my life struggles and do not own the song in any way shape or form.

          ~Explanations~

[1] This section is an example of the hardships I faced during 1st to 5th grade.

[2] I took the line 'Dye it in madder of roses' and changed it go 'Dye it in madder of blue skies' to enhance the importance of blue in my family, every child having blue eyes excluding me, which is mentioned in the beginning.

[3] I liked to call the phase of moving houses a migration. I cried a lot during this time and constantly asked 'god' why I deserved this.

[4] My big brother is transgender, so at one time she was a girl. My other brother was born a guy, and I am neutral gender. Due to my eye color I feel out of place, even at home.
