I n d r o c t i o n:

Nobody could forget the day Jared Kandinsky lost his cool.

Especially me.

We were all working, which meant sitting around and looking off into space for me, when it happened. Some movement out of the corner of my eye made me blink out of the daze I was in. Jared was talking to his assistant, whose name I don’t remember, using his cold voice like usual when he stopped and took a sip of the coffee she handed him earlier. He spit it out the next spilt second in her face making my jaw drop. Everyone froze what they were doing to look.

“What the hell is this? This is shit!” He roared making Macy (or is it Stacy?) flinch.

“T-the coffee you ordered m-me to get.” She stammered, her cheeks burning a bright red.

“This is NOT what I asked you to get. If you are incapableof following my specific orders, you are not qualified to be my assistant. You’re fired.” He said unaffected by her watery eyes. I clenched my jaw, what a jerk. Who fires someone over coffee?

Stacy- wait Macy then ran out crying and he simply looked around. His green eyes meet mine and I didn’t look away or cower away like the rest. Maybe that was my mistake.

“You,” Jared said looking right at me. “You’ll be replacing her. Be here by 6:00 AM tomorrow morning.”

Who knew I’d be working for the devil as his assistant after that?
