He woke up in bed, just like any other day. Usually, banging on the door of his cupboard under the stairs was heard, signalling he needed to make breakfast, and fast. But this time, he was gently awoken by his aunt claiming their was a man at the door to take him away. Of course little six year old Hadrian, couldn't believe this, someone want a freak like him? Impossible, but alas he got up grabbed his glasses and the trash bag of his cousins old clothes that his dear aunt gave him, and turned to see the man standing just three feet away from him in the threshold of the home.

Now this man, young Harry could see, was very regal looking. His long silvery hair cascading down his back, the neat dress clothes he was wearing and the cane he held in his hand, a peculiar snake on top of said cane. Behind him, a woman and a child, about his age, stood. The woman, beautifully dressed in a lovely, flowing, black gown, her black and silver hair, which the child thought was a bit strange, tied neatly in a tight bun atop her head, she was the definition of beauty in the boys eyes, and the other child, an almost perfect image of his father, with his short, platinum blonde, slick backed hair and fancy clothes. The woman, who introduced herself as Narcissa, looked quite disgruntled at the clothes Harry was forced to wear, as he was allowed only his cousins far to big hand-me-downs, his uncle always said he was too much of a freak for his own clothing.

"Now young man", said the man called Lucius, who introduced himself after his wife, "You will be living with us".

"Yes, Sir" Hadrian obediently replied.

Now you see, young Harry was scared and when questioned by the new family he was with, he panicked and quietly said that he was worried about his performance as he only knew how to make bacon and eggs so he didn't know how to cook for the family. Narcissa gently grabbed his hand and they aperated, when safely out of view of the muggles, back to the manor the family inhabited, then the kind woman explained to the poor thing that he has no need to cook, that this was his family and that she was adopting him, meaning she was his mother. Overwhelmed the young man jumped to the female hugging her, thanking her for being his mother and that he's never had one.

Poor child.

As you may see readers, this is the life of Hadrian James Potter-Evans, the infamous Boy-Who-Lived. Not told through the eyes of Albus to-many-names Dumbledore, but none other than the husband of said boy. Let me tell you friends, this is a road that leads to sadness, betrayal, unlikely friendships and all around good feelings, maybe.
