Amelia's POV (12 Years Old)

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock rudely ringing throughout my room. Urgh...I hate mornings!

"Mia" Danno shouted "you're not meant to let the thing ring, turn it off" he said from his and dads room. I groaned loudly before turning over and turning it off, muting the shrill ringing. I slumped back on to my bed and closed my eyes in a bid to catch a few more minutes "that doesn't mean you can go back to sleep you know, get your lazy butt outta bed" Danno shouted as he walked in to my room with his shirt half buttoned up "now Mia" he instructed as he pulled my duvet cover from on top of me.

"Urgh...fine I'm up" I huffed "happy now?" I asked as he turned to leave,

"Ecstatic" he replied sarcastically before leaving. I dragged myself out of my comfy bed and walked to the bathroom where I began my usual morning routine.

Once I was dressed and ready for the day I made my way downstairs where my dad was cooking eggs and Danno was sat at the table eating,

"Morning" I greeted as I walked in to the kitchen and sat down next to Danno,

"Morning baby girl" my dad greeted cheerily as he placed a plate of eggs in front of me before giving me a kiss on the head "sleep well?" He asked and I nodded as I began to eat my breakfast,

"Yeah I did" I confirmed and he nodded before joining us at the table. I ate my breakfast in a comfortable silence whilst dad and Danno where talking about a case,

"Did you get that homework done?" Dad asked me and I felt panic rise inside of me. Shit. I was meant to do it last night but I ended up watching Netflix instead! "Amelia" my dad said causing me to snap out of my thoughts,

"Oh yeah sorry" I said casually "I did it last night" I lied. I saw both him and Danno both give me a hesitant look before dad nodded,

"Ok, cool" he said and I sighed internally "you need to get a move on or you're gonna be late" he instructed as both he and Danno got up from the table,

"Put your plate in the sink when your done" Danno said and I nodded silently.

Once I was finished eating I ran upstairs to grab my backpack before walking in to the garage where dad and Danno where stood having their usual morning argument,

"I'm just saying, it's my car Steven I should get to drive it" Danno exclaimed to my amused father,

"Oh cmon babe, we gotta get Mia to school before lunch" my dad said and I smirked before moving to jump in to the back of the car "don't you agree sweetie?" He asked as he turned to me,

"I'm not getting involved" I stated before closing the door. Inevitably Danno gave in and my father began the drive to my school, but that didn't stop him from complaining about it.

"Have a good day Mia" Danno turned to me once dad pulled the car to a stop and I leant forward and gave both of my dads a kiss on the cheek "try stay out of trouble" he said and I smiled,

"I could say the same thing to you" I replied and he rolled his eyes,

"What's that supposed to mean young lady?" Dad asked in a mock firm voice,

"Well, I think it means that you will undoubtedly land us in some kind of trouble at some point today" Danno replied as I jumped out of the car before the inevitable bickering session began once again.

The day dragged by and eventually it was the last period before lunch! Unfortunately for me it was maths and not only do I hate the subject with a vengeance, but I also forgot the homework.
