Chapter Three

Serenity walked to the gym after school ended, wearing the manager outfit. “Hey”Ariel says making her stop. “Oh hey”Serenity greeted looking at her. Ariel slapped her, taking her by surprise. “What...”Serenity stared rubbing her cheek stunned. “You think your funny don’t you, embarrassing me like that in front of the managers and the boys”Ariel demanded. “No...”Serenity stared. “My friends laughed at me when I told them that you already taken the position!”Ariel spat. “I’m sorry for embarrassing you”Serenity muttered still stunned by the slap. “You little I promised my friends I’ll get those boys numbers if I became the manager for the team”Ariel glared stepping forward her hand raised. Serenity grabbed her wrist, staring her down looking furious. “If you only wanted to become a manager so you can help your friends get into their pants then you don’t deserve it!”Serenity yelled.

“SO STOP WHINING LIKE A BABY, WHO HAD IT’S CANDY TAKEN FROM IT AND GO ON!”Serenity yelled. “GET LOST!”Serenity glared pointing away. Clapping came from behind them, Kaori, Yukie and the rest of the team standing there along with the coach. “Nice Serenity”Yukie smiled as Ariel stormed away. “We saw everything, we were gonna come help but we saw you grab her waist and take care of it yourself”Akaashi says giving her a small smile. “Your gonna be an amazing manager”Kaori smiled. Serenity rubbed the back of her head, letting out an embarrassed chuckle. “Let’s get this practice started”Bokuto called. Serenity helped Kaori put the net up, Yukie coming with the volleyballs. The two older managers instructed Serenity through a few of the things, and helped her carry the water bottles to the boys when practice came. “Here”Serenity smiled handing Akaashi his water bottle.

“Serenity-Chan!”A voice called. Serenity flinched, her eyes widening, then turned finding five boys standing in the doorway of the gym, smiling at her warmly. “Kora...”Serenity stared her eyes wide. “Why didn’t you go to Karasuno...I was hurt when one of my buddies let it slip that you came to this school”Kora smiled. Serenity stared at Kora and his new friends her eyes wide in fear, as she stepped back. “Hey why do you look so scared, we’re old friends”Kora smiled. “Leave her be...”Akaashi ordered walking over noticing how uncomfortable and scared Serenity look. “It seems like she doesn’t wanna talk to you...clearly you’ve done something to her...”Akaashi says. “I think you better back off pretty boy, this is between me and my girl”Kora grinned. “Are you dating him?”Akaashi asked. “No...”Serenity responded. “Please leave boys”Kaori says quickly.

“Fine, see you later Serenity-Chan!”Kora waved smiling side. Serenity looked away, her hands balled into fists. “You okay”Akaashi asked looking at her. Serenity nodded, giving him a small smile, then went back over to Kaori and Yukie continuing to help them out with a few things. She pushed the volleyball cart over, collecting balls and placing them inside carefully. “Serenity can I take a volleyball?”Konoha asked coming over. “Oh sure”Serenity nodded. He took a ball out of the cart, and walked away. “Serenity, the water bottles are empty”Yukie called waving to her. “I’ll take care of it!”Serenity nodded seeing that Yukie was busy helping Akaashi. Serenity sighed deeply, taking four water bottles at a time, and filling them up carefully. She placed them down when she was finished, and watched the boys practice silently getting a bit of a break for a little while.

Once practice was over, she left the gym going down to the entrance silently. “Serenity!”Kora called. “Go away!”Serenity yelled. Kora grabbed her by the jaw with one hand, giving her a sly grin. “Now that isn’t anyway to talk to your boyfriend right”Kora smirked. “We were never dating”Serenity glared his grip tightening. “Now we are”Kora grinned. “Let her go...”A voice ordered. Akaashi stood there with Bokuto and Konoha, Yukie and Kaori not far behind them. Kora released Serenity, looking annoyed. Serenity went over to her friends, Akaashi holding his arm out in front of her. “Stay away from Manager-Chan!”Bokuto glared hugging Serenity tight. “Tch, whatever”Kora grunted. He fixed his hoodie, and walked away. Akaashi stared after him, before telling the others that he’d walk Serenity home. “Be careful you two!”Kaori waved. “Okay”Serenity nodded waving to her.
