~>CHAPTER TWO<~
My eyes are glued together with sleep while giggles echo through out my dorm. I'm sitting in a circle made up of my old friends, the ones from 16 years ago. They are all chanting the same spell over and over agin "trigon wisalta" incept for me. This is a spell to move water. There is a bottle of water in the middle that they are trying to move. I try to keep in my laugh as they struggle to lift the water into the air.
Harriet rolls her eyes at me. "what, what now!" She sighs. I carry on sniggering. "no it's nothing, carry on" Harriet closes her eyes and begins to chant again but soon stops as she sees that nobody else is doing the same as her. "now what?" She exclaims with an annoyed tone. "I mean, she is rite" Aubrey says sorrowfully. "were not gonna be able to do it by ourselves and neither is anyone else" Lillian carry's on. "oh my god" I exclaim with an astonished voice. "what?" Harriet asks "you- ughhh oh my Lord, you guys have never channeled have you?" I sigh as I look around at their confused faces all staring at me thinking I'm crazy and making this stuff up. "channel what?" Aubrey wonders. "Each other!" I shout but not to loud as it's early in the morning. "I'm not following" of course your not Lillian. "mhm mhm same" Harriet shakes her head. "look" I sigh "hold my hand" I reach over to Aubrey's hand and tell her to close her eyes and coppy what I do. "now you will feel some sort of power pushing on you, sort of trying to get through you. You need to let that power in." I warn her. She nods her head while getting comfy by shuffling and breathing out of her mouth "ok" she tells me when she is ready.
silence stirs in the room only to being able to hear the banging on the walls from the other dorm next to us. "now try to make the water into droplets in the air" I instruct her Aubrey nods and try's again, the other girls gasp and Aubry opens her eyes and mouth while smiling a bit at what she can do. "see now this is channeling another person's magic, by doing this you have more power to do the spell" I still can't believe that they didn't know what channelling was! "thank you so much Amara!" Aubry says excitedly. Audrey let's go of my hand and is about to give me a hug but when she lets go of my hand all the water drops back into the bottle with some going on the floor and it all made a big splash that goes on everyone. We all laugh.
They vanish from my sight turning into nothing but coloured mist. The room goes black I stand up and walk over to my bed. There is a person in there that looks like me. I turn around to see that people are dashing across the floor getting ready to start the day. I turn back to my look alike and reach out to touch her. My finger tip brushes the body gently and all of a sudden I get transported into the body. This is my body, and that was all just a memory of the girls and me.
I open my eyes and see a messy floor, with people with towels on there heads and body's moving across the floor below her high up bed at a fast pace. A girl appears below my bed who is brushing her teeth with a electric tooth brush that is really loud. I saw her come in with the others last night vividly as they woke me up from MY SLEEP.
The girl was wearing a long white t-shirt with buttons to do it up, she wore yellowish trousers, she had short light blond hair and hazel eyes
"good morning new friend, I'm Allegra and I hope to be your first new" she mutters and puts her hand up as if nobody can see her speaking to me "and best" she stops muttering and takes hand away "friend!" She says as she smiles so her cheeks go rosey. Oh god she is a suck up isn't she, I can tell she is anoying already... no offence or anything... but like I said, you can tell someone's personality from just their appearance.
I try to open my eyes while rubbing them. I attempt to put my hand on the rail of the bunk bed but I miss and my hand falls but I quickly put it back on the rail as if it had never happened. "hu? Oh hey, what er what time is it erm Al" I says while yawning. "it's Alleg- you know what I like it never mind. The time is also 6:22am" Al speaks with a happy tone. "wait that means..." I realise that I have done the one thing that everyone does in the movies, the thing that everyone dreads... I've slept in! "yes your correct, we have to be at breakfast in approximately 7 minuets and 53 seconds and counting, 50, 49, 48, 47, 46..." she seems to be enjoying watching me struggle to get out of bed.
I jump of off my bed and runs around the room trying to find something to wear in my suitcase. Soon enough I find a dark blue ish, long sleeved, cotton vest to go over her long sleeved, white, buttoned top. It also has black tights with a white and red plaid dark blue skirt. Perfect!
"4 more minuets!" She exclaims as I'm rapidly running around the room.
Everyone had left the room by then. I slide into the bathroom in my tights and quickly do my teeth.
"2 more to go!" "I know I know!" I'm starting to get stressed with her now. I slide my shoes on, grabs Allegra's hand and run to breakfast
"you exited?" She asks me. "For what?" I respond. "your first day!" Al says excitedly
I mean I guess I am excited for my first day, but I have done it before so I'm not as excited as she probably is. "well it's yours to" I remember. "Nu uh, I was here for induction day. You just turned up today and decided to join" right, now I need to come up with a fake excuse. Great... "How would you know that" I stall. We are they are both very out of breath while running. "I didn't see you" she questions me. "Fair enough" I stall again. "why weren't u there?" Time for my epic fake backstory. "Erm, family problems. The headmistress said that I didn't need to come in that day if I didn't want to."
everything goes black and then I find myself going up to the front desk in the clothes that I wore yesterday. There is a lady sitting on a spinny chair. She is the office lady from yesterday! Wait why am I hear? Why can't I speak? Why am I walking? I'm in no control of my body! Oh god no, it's another flash back. Well at least I'm awake in this one. Why am I even here, what is so important about yesterd..."
"hello there miss how may I help you? Do you know where your dorm is, do you need my help? Are you lost, do you need my help? Are you new, your probably new it's ok i can log you in and help you around the school or I could get someone to help you. Oh no, haven't you registered yet" The lady asks. "ugh I can't handle this anymore, sorry about this but your just honestly quite annoying I'm afraid." I stair into the lady's eyes to compel her. "Register me under the name Amara Anganaa and I'll be on my way, if anyone asks who I am say that I had some family problems so I couldn't make it to induction day but I'm ready to come back to school this year. Oh And put me in the continuity suite. Also, do it quietly." the lady nods her head and gets to work. I walk away and takes the keys with me while smiling.
Everything's goes back to normal, where I am at the hall with Allegra. We are outside the great hall again where breakfast is about to be served. No time has passed, and I don't remember what just happened.
"oh um, I'm sorry for brining it up" Al apologies. really for nothing, I made the whole thing up. "oh no it's fine, really" I assure her.
"oh there are the girls" she points to a group of people sitting on a bench in the hall. "who?" I respond.
