Sisters Forever

"I feel connected, protected. It's like your standing right with me all the time! You hear me, your near me. And everything else gonna be alright! Cause nothing can break this, nothing can break this tie! Connected!" Kara and Emma sing the lyrics playing the guitar happily in their bedroom. They finish the song and smile. Connected by Katherine Mcphee is their favorite song to sing together.

"You rocked that harmony Emma!" Kara says highfiving her sister.

"And you rocked the high melody part!" Emma giggles. "we should totally sing that in the talent show for your school!'

"Yes! Hey, are you still thinking about auditioning for my school? There's still time! You could even audition with this song!" Kara suggests to her younger sister.

Emma hesitates thinking about how hard it is to enter in the musical arts school. But she would get to be with her sister more and that's always what she wants. You have to audition by sending in a recording and then writing your own song lyrics. If the school approves, you're in!

"I don't know Kara... What if I don't make it in?" Emma says after thinking.

"Oh you might as well attempt it! C'mon I'll help you start writing your song!"

"Okay! I guess it's worth a try!" Emma replies. The girls then get to work experimenting pitches and trying out new lyrics which seemed like forever. They never even got tired.

"What have you two been up to all afternoon?" Their mother peeks in the doorway asking. "It's about supper time so why don't you girls wrap up what you're working on and wash up!"

"Okay mom!" They both reply. Kara and Emma then clean up their music stuff and head to eat supper.

"How are my two beautiful musicians today?" Their father asks as they eat spaghetti for dinner.

"I'm great dad! Kara's helping me get ready to audition for melody academy! Her and I are even writing a song together for it!" Emma replies.

"That's great girls! I'm glad to see you working together, as usual!" Emma and Kara always get along so well, they're like best friends. The girls giggle.

After supper Kara and Emma get back to work on Emma's music audition until bedtime. They work so hard that they fall right asleep!

"You're really getting the hang of this Emma! I'm glad I could help you and can't wait to record you tomorrow!" Kara whispers from her bed yawning.

"You know what Kara? I'm glad your my sister, and glad that we both love music! Thanks for being a great big sister!" Emma says back.

"We better get to sleep, tomorrow you have an audition to send in!"

"Okay, goodnight!"

"Goodnight!" And they both drift off to sleep after that.
