Monofowl: Before we begin, Allow me to give you a brief recap of the class trial rules. You are here to express your arguments for who you believe the blackened is. If you choose correctly, the blackened shall be punished. But if you choose incorrectly, then the opposing team of the killer shall be punished and that team will be allowed to graduate. Now then, begin your discussion!
Aiko: Wait, why is there just a poster of Masayuki with a bloody X on it?
Monofowl: I believe that all students should participate in the class trial even if they are dead or alive.
Monobat: It literally does what it's supposed to do. Stand there and keep track on who's dead. There's 16 students here you don't think that it would be hard to keep track of all of you?
Runi: I don't wanna turn into a poster...
Rini: Oh man... I've never been on trial before... This is really stressful.
Kisho: I know, right? I'm not even sure what to do here.
Kotone: Wait, hold up. I just thought of something. Is it possible to have accomplices here?
Monofowl: That is a good question. What do you think, Monobat?
Monobat: If it were a free for all, I'd allow it. But since this is a team-based killing game, I'm denying it. Cuz what if someone spotted the killer on the other team and told everyone who it was, beforehand?
Monofowl: You raise a good point. How's about I arrange this? I'll add a new rule that a killer cannot reveal their victim to anyone on their team.
Runi: Huh? How would that be advantageous to any team?
Monobat: That's the point! It doesn't!
Monofowl: Don't worry. Even if we did allow accomplices, they don't get anything for helping the killer.
Fudo: If this is all team-based, wouldn't that mean Masayuki was killed by someone on the team he wasn't on?
Monofowl: Not necessarily.
Aiko: Huh?! Do you mean we can commit friendly fire?!
Monobat: Murder is murder! It's just as entertaining! Plus it makes a great plot twist!
Ryu: Your forms of entertainment make me sick... You have such nerve...
Eichi: We should just ignore them and focus on the murder case.
Shigeko: Yeah... But... where do we even begin?
Eichi: Before we do that, There's something strange I can't help but bring up. The Monofile.
Miro: That file? What about it?
Eichi: The file's details are very vague. most of the information that's given is beyond obvious.
Shigeko: Huh... That IS strange. Shouldn't there be a time of death at the bare minimum?
Runi: Hey yeah! That's an important detail! Why isn't that even on there!?
Monofowl: It's quite simple, really. Your culprit intentionally made it that way. It would be only fair if we didn't include the time of death on the file.
Rini: No fair... That's giving the killer an advantage.
Miro: The time of death is probably not included in the file because of how hazed the shower room was.
Leo: That's true. We did find the water running on full heat.
Mizuki: But can humid steam do that?
Miro: I'm probably a terrible person for saying this to someone with cipa, but you'd be supervised what temperature can do. high or low temperatures can screw up autopsies with the time of death. Happens all the time in cop shows.
