The Awakening

In the town of Ketterdam there resided three kids. Luciel Farhley, Alakazam Rivtfield, and Jordie Rivtfield. Three of the youngest criminals, always succeeding. Luciel was the chaotic one. Always ready to go into a situation no matter the risk. She was also the brains, she made the plans and made sure everyone was safe. Kaz was the sociopath and bait most times. He knew his feelings but always was a brick wall, easier to trick people that way. That was until he knew the truth that would soon break the young fourteen year olds. And that, was he was in love with Luciel. Jordie was the calm to the two's storm, making sure Luciel got home safe and Kaz was ok. Jordie made sure Luc was ok and happy, for he too loved her. The three met after the Rivtfield brothers sold their fathers farm and moved to Ketterdam at age nine. There they met the Young Luciel Marie Farhley and her parents Rosalie Anne Farhley and Zachariah Farhely. Her father was the doctor of Ketterdam, he cheated people for money. Her mother used to be a nurse at the hospital till she grew ill when the kids were fourteen.
Their life was perfect until that one day that wrecked young Luciels world.

Jordie and Kaz ran into Luciels home smiling big.
"we have a job and a big one!"
She smiled at them dragging them to her room closing her door.
"shhh momma isn't well, Papa says she's worse but I got her asleep...who gave it to you?"
Kaz looked at her excited,
"His names Pekka we will get so much Kruge, no more pick pocketing."
Her smile fell, she knew that name just doesn't remember from where.
"When?"
"today we wanted to grab you."
She looked at Jordie sad then at Kaz.
"I need a moment with Jordie Kazi ok?"
He nodded stepping outside. Her father rushed past him.
"Evening Mr. Farhley."
"ah Alakazam my boy how are you?"
"good sir.."
Jordie looked at Luciel confused.
"what?"
"what? What?! Jordie! we agreed to not take jobs like these....we don't know this man....what if- what if something goes wrong?"
Jordie smiled at her,
"It'll be ok....you over think sometimes"
She looked at him distressed.
"Jordie I get you think I'm just scared but please listen to me-"
He grabbed her hands kissing her hands.
"we will be back tonight to share our winnings....you don't have to come."
Her voice grew soft as her grip on his hands tightened.
"stay...with me...both of you."
Jordie shook his head letting go, going to Kaz.
"lets go."
Luc ran after them pausing at the door.
"Kaz please...don't go."
He smiled at her, "we'll be ok."
Luciel watched them leave, her heart wanting to follow but knew her duty was at home.
A few days passed, her father returned from his shift sadder than usual.
"Papa? Papa whats wrong?!"
He looked at her with a heavy heart.
"I have gotten word about the boys."

LUCIEL POV

I knew what was coming, I couldn't bare to hear it. I told him not to go... but Jordie never listened to me. My Kaz...my love the only one I've wanted...gone. I don't know what he was saying. All I know is I let out a scream. My throat burned as I felt everything come out. A scream of pure agony surely half of Ketterdam heard.  My body ached as I screamed his name  hoping for him to run to comfort me. It felt like some sick joke, a nightmare. Any second my boys would rush to me to show me their findings, But no. I couldn't do this....I can't stay here without them.
I needed out of this place. There was nothing left for me here. My father tolerated me because of Kaz and mother....mother liked Jordie. Kaz....are you really gone? Jordie you promised you two would be ok. I waited till father went back to work before packing my satchel. I didn't have much but I know I needed my book....our book. It held plans for past heists....I need to remember them in the future. I grabbed my things and went to the harbor. I was to sneak on the next boat to port, I'll figure something out, go somewhere. That was my plan until I met her. She looked scared and lost, I couldn't leave her alone, damn you Jordie. I walked to her offering the only bit of food I could scavenge from the house. I never eat much anyways so If the plague rats eat me.... they wont be eating much, maybe a light snack. She's definitely new to Ketterdam. She thanked me for the meal, my window on leaving on ship was closing but something about her made me stay. Her name is Nina, she's running from something....someone.
