Jake's pov:

I have been sitting in my brothers drive way for about 2 or 3 hours now. I knew Christina was getting released today, well yesterday really, Yelena tipped me off that Kayden had fought her on the right to take her back to his.  I won't lie I didn't like the fact that she was staying with him but it would be a lot less stress and struggle for her. When I heard what had happened to my best friend and her family, I was shattered Christina is my family. Christina's mum wasn't the greatest mum to be honest she was a shit mum but she always made sure there was food in the house, they had a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs and she would always take me in when I need a place to stay. She was more of a mum to me than my own mother and I cared for her like she was my own mum. Then there's little Annie. That little girl was everything to me and Christina, we protected her from her mum and dad's argument, we cared for her and made sure she was happy as much as possible, when I found out she was gone I just broke after all the stuff me and Chrissy done for that sweet innocent little girl she was ripped away from us.

It got worse for me when I found out that Kayden was there but did nothing to stop it. He got an earful from me. Christina is my only priority right now and if that means staying at my brothers house then I will. I saw my brother pull his car into the driveway, I turned on my motorbike's headlight so he would see that I was here and not get run over by his car. All I saw was a wave of brown waist length hair jump out of the car and then I was encased in a hug. I smiled down at her and held on to her tighter "Hey there sunshine, did you miss me?" she nodded and just held me tighter.

I was aware of Kayden getting out of the car and leaning on the hood watching us as we embraced each other neither of us wanting to let go. I moved Chrissy so she was hugging my right side as I turned to look at my brother with narrow eyes.

"Hey so I spoke to Yelena and found out Chrissy would be staying with you for the time being, I figured I would come and help out and stick around for a while"

He turned and looked at me, then down towards Chrissy where she was still holding onto my side probably due to the fact that the adrenaline that carried her over to me has gone away and she is struggling to stand on her own.  He looked at me again and shrugged, walking towards his house and opened the door for us.

"Do you think you'll be okay to walk holding onto me or do I have to carry you?", a smirk hovering on my lips, she tried to turn away quickly but not before I saw the blush rising on her cheeks.

"I haven't been able to walk properly but I can try. Oh and to answer your question from earlier of course I've missed you."

"Of course, you have but don't worry I missed you too Chrissy. I wished I never left you that week I am so sorry." I felt terrible for leaving Chrissy, I always have, that week but my dad called and asked if I could come out to his for a few days to help pack up grandad's stuff. Even though I had  no idea what would happen to her, Annie and mum somehow I still felt guilty about it.

"Listen it was not your fault so stop blaming yourself if it's anyone's fault it mine and Kayden's." as she was saying this we moved into the house and I helped her onto the sofa she leaned into my side. I heard her sigh then her eyes closed, that's when I knew she would be going to sleep for a while now. As I was pulling a blanket over her, I was aware of my brother watching me so I leaned forward and kissed Chrissy on the forehead, in return I saw a faint smile on her lips hopefully she can get some actual sleep now.

Kayden's pov:

I've been hyper aware of my brother around Chrissy since the moment she ran into his arms. I know when I left something had happened to them I just don't know what. I walk into the living room and see my twin planting a kiss on her forehead as she lays on his lap drifting to sleep. What the fuck? "Is she asleep?" he nods, then looks up at me knowing I want to talk.

I clear my throat and sit on the armchair near the sofa to where Jake is sitting.                                      "I'm glad your here she seems more at ease, more secure when your around. What happened between you two?"  He seems caught of guard then says, " You left her for 6 months Kayden. You left and she was breaking everyday you didn't answer her messages or phone calls. You left me and Yelena to pick up the pieces. About a month after you left she gave up hope of contacting you and grew a lot more closer to me, by month 3 of you missing or rather ignoring and avoiding us me and Chrissy became a couple, you came back after I left to go help dad with grandad's things. I don't think just because of what happened means that we aren't still together. You had your chance and you left her and it almost broke her, now she is broke no thanks to you."

I didn't know what to say , I just sat there staring at him not daring to believe a word he was saying. How could he? How could she? I got up and walked out the room and went into my room walked over the bedside table picked up the picture of me and Chrissy on the beach arms wrapped around each other smiling goofily at the camera. This was a year ago now but now the picture just hurt to look at, I don't know what came over me I just threw it against my wardrobe and sank down on my bed refusing to believe my own twins words.

The same words kept repeating in my head as I drifted to sleep

'You left and it almost broke her, you had your chance, you have broke her'

I woke up at about 3am I sat up my hand over my heart I got up and walked to the bathroom, I looked in the mirror. The person staring back at me was me but my eyes where balls of fire, what the fuck? I splashed my face from the sink and looked back in the mirror but my eyes weren't balls of fire anymore they were their usual grey-blue colour. Convinced I was seeing things I walked as quietly as possible back to my room lay down on my double bed and slowly drifted to sleep again.

A scream pierced the cool early morning air, I shot up looking for the sound to realise it was coming from the living room.

Chrissy.
