(3) Taehyung

I started walking around the neighborhood hoping for any rent posters hung up. Bad luck on my side. Nothing showed up.

"Hey, do you know anyone who's looking for someone to rent their house," I asked a stranger passing by and he turned his head away avoiding me.

I arrived to an apartment a few kilometres away. I walked from one apartment to another hoping for someone renting their apartment. Guess what? Nothing again.

The night was completely dark and chilly. It was 3am. There's no way I could continue walking anymore. If I wished to go back to Hoseok's house it would've take ages.

Skipping work tomorrow sounds like a good idea. I'm completely drained. Speaking of drained, my phone battery died too. Wow, ✨funny✨.

The glanced at the apartment hallways. I bet you know what I'm thinking. I had no other choice than to sleep here. It looked pretty safe and quiet.

I found myself a corner. It was pretty dusty but I managed to find myself a broom by the lift and sweeped the corner. I sat down and let out a grunt. My legs were sore and my back aches.

I tried to sleep but couldn't do so. I was creeped out by the hallway. It was dark and a few lights were only lighting it up. The sound of insects and crickets were creepy as heck.

I placed my head on my knees and my hands covering the back of my head. A few minutes later, I fell asleep faster than I usually do.

"Excuse me? Hello? Miss, wake up," an unfamiliar voice spoke. I was barely awake.

I slowly opened my eyes adjusting to the brightness of the sunlight. "What the fuck," I flinched.

I totally forgot I slept in a hallway last night. I lifted my head to see a man standing. He was wearing a casual blue long sleeved shirt and black baggy pants. His hairstyle alone describes the kind of person he is. Someone easily impressed by.

"What are you doing here?," he asked in a feep voice. He looked at me. His eyes meet mine and he stares hard. I was completely lost in his eyes and admiring his beauty. Is he even real? How can a man look this charming? His dark eyes that hold a galaxy in them.

I have to admit, I fell for him at first sight. His ethereal beauty is unexplainable. "What are you doing here?," he asked in a husky tone. Oh, damn.

"Uh, I was looking for a place to stay at. I got kicked out of my apartment yesterday," I responded.

"That does not give you a reason to sleep like a beggar here," his voice got colder. Let me just take back my words of compliments towards him.

"Then where else am I suppose to go? You expect me to sleep on the streets in such a weather? I'm not even bothering you," I fought back.

He pointed to the wall beside me. "This. Is my apartment"

"Okay fine, I'm sorry okay. But still, I did not sleep inside your apartment so it's not that big of a deal," I rolled my eyes. I could tell he was annoyed.

"Hmm, anyways, you did mention you were looking for a new place to stay at?," he asked. I nodded in response.

"Do you mind not having the whole place to yourself? I mean, sharing an apartment?" "I don't care, as long I have a roof above my head I would be beyond grateful"

"Grateful people like you. We stan," he joked and I stared at him. "Why? If you don't have anything important to say, I will leave right now," I excused myself.

"Wait, perhaps do you want to share this apartment with me?," he suggested. Am I hearing things right?

"What did you say?"

"I said, do you want to live with me here? We will share the apartment rent. It's too expensive for me and it will be great if I have a roommate. I don't mind sharing an apartment with someone else. You deaf?," he said and I tsked.

"First, I'm not deaf. Second, are you serious? I'd love to. Thank you so much" Nothing could describe how happy I felt at that moment.

The young man was indeed like an angel sent by heaven although he's kinda rude. "When can I move in?"

"Anytime you like. I would prefer today because I'll be leaving to somewhere tomorrow. I'll clear the room for you," he suggested and I nodded.

I gave him my number just in case we need to contact each other. "Done," he said as he keyed in my number on his dial pad.

"Thank you again. You don't know how much this means to me," I squealed in happiness. "Girls like you, annoying," he complained.

"Okay then, if you find me annoying why do you even suggested me to be roommates with you?," I defended myself.

"You look like someone who can be trusted. Plus, I'm desperate to save money now," he coldly replied.

He asked. "What's your name?"

"Y/N. Yours?"

"Taehyung. Kim Taehyung"

"Such a beautiful name for someone perfect like him," I thought to myself. I slapped myself out of my thoughts. Why am I acting like I have the biggest crush on Taehyung? Damn it.

"Got it, Taehyung. I'll move my stuff in. I'll be back in a few minutes," I left the apartment and took the lift to the ground floor.

I did my happy dance. I will be sharing my rent with someone, makes the rent cheaper. Besides, the apartment looked really classy so it's a bonus.

"Y/N ah, I'm so proud of you," I complimented myself.

"Hobiii, open up," I knocked on his door and he opened up after a few seconds.

He looked shocked seeing me. "Y/N! Where did you sleep at? Are you okay? Did you manage to find somewhere to stay at?," he threw me a bunch of questions.

"I slept on the ground, outside," I said.

"You're joking," he got confused. "Why would I? I found a place to stay at already, I'm sharing an apartment with a man, around our age too"

I slowly took my things and placed them outside. "That's great! I was just about to search and help you find somewhere to rent. Let me help you move, tell me the address and let's drive there," he helped me to carry the bags of clothes I had.

"You're the best, Hobi! I don't know what I can do without you," I smiled.

"Don't come back to me saying you're dating your roommate sooner or later. What's he like?," he teased.

"Why would I? He's charming and someone who can catch attention of girls easily. His ego just ruins it all" Hoseok laughed.
