first oneshot <3

It was just another casual day, nothing interesting occurred, yet. Today was the day Lucas and Athanasia would finally hang out. They hadn't seen each other as often as they used to. It's been practically two weeks since they actually sat down and spent time together. Athanasia wouldn't directly admit it to his face. But, she missed him, possibly more than she should be missing someone. So, she was glad today they could finally work something out. However, she was starting to regret even meeting him today. But, She should've expected as much. It's Lucas after all.

"You're staring again."

Lucas took a long sip out of his teacup, making eye contact, waiting for the princess's response. She scoffed dramatically, placing her hand to her chest.

"What? I have no idea what you're talking about. Please, Enlighten me, Sir Lucas."

Of course, She knew what the magician in front of her was on about. But, she thought It'd be fun to play around, just for a while. She didn't really get to act this way around anyone else other than Lucas. Well, that's what being a princess is like. It's not like you can act the way you want publicly. Athanasia could tell that her dad was different from her. He could care less of what others thought. Actually, he'd be more pleased to kill them off. He really has no hesitation about it either.

So, whenever she would hang out with Lucas, they'd take turns doing this type of thing occasionally. Some people questioned it. Mostly, Lily and Felix. But, they didn't worry too much about it. Felix and Lily both knew what they had going on with each other. But, they weren't sure if Lucas and Athanasia were aware of it themselves.  Surprisingly, Claude knew nothing about their relationship. He just thought of Athanasia and the mysterious magician as best friends, nothing more or less. Claude obviously knew Lucas would never do anything to hurt his daughter. If he didn't want to die from the hands of him, of course.  Clearly, they'd be something more than best friends, when the time comes.

Lucas had a blank expression on his face at first. But, then a smirk slowly appeared. Which Athanasia noticed instantly.

"For someone who's academically smart, You sure act dumb."

Even though Athanasia didn't expect anything else than this, She was still caught off guard. She didn't realize she had spilled a few drops of tea on her clothing. She gave him a disgusted look, which made Lucas cringe a bit. He probably thought she looked ugly just now, sounds just like him.

"Ijekiel would sure say otherwise."

Lucas felt his chest sting, just hearing that name made his blood boil. He didn't know why, he just really hated his guts. Athanasia has always mentioned his name before, so he should have been used to it. But, he couldn't get used to it. If it wasn't for Athanasia liking him, he was sure Ijekiel would be dead. In Lucas's view, killing Ijekiel off would be much easier for everyone. But, Athanasia thinks otherwise. Lucas was convinced she possibly developed a crush on Ijekiel. Lucas was starting to regret even making them meet all those years back. Does she really need Ijekiel when he's right in front of her? What could Ijekiel do that he couldn't? He's a magician, after all. He would do anything she wished for him to do.

"If you'd rather talk about that guy, I'd be more than happy to leave, so you can fantasize all day about your prince charming., princess."

Did she have to mention him? Out of all people? She couldn't talk about her dad at least? He rubbed his forehead in frustration, trying to calm himself. Ijekiel was nothing to him, he couldn't let this get to him. Athanasia could tell he was trying to avoid eye contact after what he said. What was his deal? He always acted like this whenever Ijekiel was mentioned. Wait, was he jealous? Athanasia tried her best to hide her laughter, she couldn't believe it. She knew Ijekiel liked her. But, she honestly didn't know how to react to it. She thought if she just pretended she didn't know, it would pass by, like any other normal crush. She did feel bad about it though. Why her out of all people?
