A groan left Starling's lips as the alarm disturbed her sleep. She shuffled to the other side of the bed, her hand finding the button to turn off her alarm. She eventually gave up and took the blanket off her face, but the sunrays blocking her eyes from seeing anything. Groaning, she a hand on her eye to protect them from the sudden light. After a few seconds of trying to get her sight back, she turned off her alarm.
She looked at the clock and saw it was already 7:05 and today was Monday, 3rd June. Which meant today was going to be their first day in Hogwarts.
Starling yawned and wearily dragged herself out of bed and towards the bathroom, but wishing she could sleep some more, but she knew it was her fault as she had slept around 3:00 am.
Why? Because she just couldn't keep herself from clicking 'Next Episode' again and again.
She put some toothpaste on her toothbrush and started brushing her teeth. After brushing, she walked towards her closet. She didn't quite like showering early in the morning; she liked to shower with some pleasant music and to take some time and not showering in a hurry.
As seeing it was currently 7:17, she changed into a pair of blue mom jeans paired with a white inner and a black tank top. She wore some eyeliner, cuffed her jeans, and sprayed some perfume on herself.
( a/n: pls I can't even describe lmao )
After getting ready, Starling took her bag and her skateboard, turned off the lights and closed the door of her room, and walked towards the kitchen.
As Starling entered the kitchen, she saw harry sitting at the table having some cereal and from what she could see was reading a book.
"Mornin' Harry," she greeted him as Harry looked up from his book and greeted her back. "Mornin' Starling."
"Whacha doin'?" She asked him as she placed her things on a chair and took out a green apple from the fridge and washed it.
"Oh, I was just reading 'The Shining'," he responded.
"So, you like reading horror books?" She turned around to face him.
"Well, pretty much, yeah," he said. "But especially fantasy and sci-fi."
"That's nice," she said, "I love these kinds of books that just, you know, make you feel like that you're the main character and you just get so lost in the book that you forgot you are still in your room, you know?"
Harry just kept watching her with a goofy smile on his face and listening to her rant.
"I'm talking too much, aren't I? I'm sorry-" Starling was apologizing, but Harry cut her off.
