Edward glared down at his phone as he walked down a street towards a bus stop .  He'd decided to finally check his phone for messages from his family.

There were over a hundred voice messages filling​ up his phone .

More than half is from Bella and Alice . Go figure.

Alice liked Bella and wanted Edward to go home to her and forget about the cheating .

Alice wanted Edward to have his Epic Love Story with Bella .

Fat chance . He wasn't going to do that whole fairy tale thing again.

His mood lightened when he thought of his new life .

He had a healthy diet of Spinx blood and Dragon blood . He had two great jobs , even if they weren't perfect. He had friends . What more could he want ?.

Gaia . That's what he wanted . The girl who was his friend . The girl with the sadness in her eyes .

A smile formed on his lips . Gaia had become his project of sorts. He wanted to help heal her broken heart.

It wasn't the same as being cheated on , but it was still a heartache that needed to be healed . And he intended to help her .

Without further delay he decided to call Carlisle . He couldn't think of anyone better to contact . He won't say anything ,of course . Only that he was alright and that they shouldn't worry about him .

That was the least he could do . To assure his family that he was alive ,well as alive as a Vampire can be , and well , not that he could get sick ,though.
 
So after months of living off the radar he finally dialed the number of his coven leader without thinking about the time difference between America and England.
