Edward watched his wife turn around in her sleep ,her face scrunched up to a dream she was having .

He saw flickers of it because he could read her mind while she was asleep . He could only sometimes see what she was thinking during the day if she wanted him to .

He saw flashes of green and  red and gold  . Then flickers of a battle that took place months before he met her .

He sometimes wished that he could've​ saved her from the pain of losing so many friends  .

The sound of a baby crying reminded him that he was supposed to watch Orion and care for him while Gaia slept .

He turned away from the bed to walk over to the cot that held the tiny body of his son .

The boy was awake and Edward felt his heart lurch when the child's open eyes revealed that he had yellow eyes instead of the usual brown.

"Gaia !", he called out softly in panic as he walked back to the bed where his wife was still asleep , oblivious to the panic the boy's eyes were causing . " Gaia!".

Gaia stirred and opened her eyes sleepily . " What's the matter ?", she asked , her voice slurring a little .

" Orion's eyes are yellow ", he said ," Come look ".

She groaned , stumbling out of bed , feeling slightly grumpy for being awoken.

Edward grabbed her arm , pulling her towards the cot .

She looked down at the boy and the next thing Edward know ,she  burst out laughing .

" What's so funny ?", Edward asked annoyed and slightly angry at her for finding something so dire, funny .

" Metamorphmagus ,You Silly Man ," she said ," It means he can change his appearance as he pleases.  Look , his hair's blue now . He doesn't know what he's doing right now ,but when he gets older .... It's such a shame that Nymphadora Tonks , my Dad's second cousin, is dead . She was a Metamorphmagus too."

Edward felt relief wash over him at her words . Of course she would know what's going on with Orion .

" How late is it ?. It might be time to feed this little man ", she enquired , looking his way .

Edward looked at his wristwatch . " Almost five  .  Seems the new day has crept up on us ."

She nodded , walking over to the closet in the room to find herself some clothes to wear . She wouldn't be able to go back to sleep now .

" I'll take a bath and then we can bath him ", she said coming out with a bundle of Muggle clothes ," Or you can bath him yourself ".

" I'll take a bath with you first . He'll be okay alone for a bit ."

She only nodded at that .

The bath had been refreshing and all , but she felt like she worried about  her little dumpling being alone  too much to actually relax .

Edward's soothing kisses all over her face , neck and shoulders kept the worry at bay a little.

Once she was dressed again  ,she walked straight to the cot only to feel her heart drop into her stomach because her son wasn't there .

" Edward !", she screamed as fear and panic battled it out inside of her.

Edward was there fairly quickly and by sniffing the air ,he let out a huge sigh before saying " Rose ", and Gaia understood what happened .

Rosalie had come​ into the room to take the baby without asking first or even leaving a note to say that she was taking him .

Gaia slightly bristled by the audacity of Rosalie who'd caused unnecessary panic.
