Chapter 2

"Vien, punta ka daw dito sa bahay sabi ni Nanay. Miss ka daw niyang makausap."

"In fairness Ash, natututo ka ng magtagalog ha? Kailangan ko na bang magpaparty dahil minsan ka nalang magEnglish?"

I can sense that she's laughing at me but I just discarded that thought. Sanay na ako sa kapilyahan ni Vien eversince we've known each other. We're already in Grade 10. Hindi kami classmates since she's into curricular activities na minsan hindi na siya nakakapagaral pero she's still in the section 1 of the regular class while me, I'm a part of STE program of the school. We're somewhat advance compared to them since we have advance subjects in each grade level.

We became bestfriends as days passed by although at school, she's very popular. She's part of the dance club, SSG officer and the Filipino publication of the school. Also to add up that she's beautiful, very.

I am her friend that hides behind her shadow. They say that I am very good looking but I think they just got it wrong. Palagi akong sumasali sa mga quiz bee and won a lot of it that made me known to teachers.

Vien is the only one I treat comfortably and I am just civil to others.

Close siya sa family ko and I'm somewhat comfortable with her family too at ngayon pinatawagan siya sakin ni nanay dahil may day off sila ni tatay galing sa hospital. Today is Saturday so we don't have any classes at isali pa na malapit na ang end ng school year kaya we don't have a lot in mind other than practicing for the moving up program and having pictorial for the vestige and fun shoots.

"Sunduin ba kita or punta ka nalang dito?"

"Hindi na Ash, sisibat na ko diyan!"

Pinatay niya ang tawag dahil magaayos daw muna. I know na hindi yun nagaayos kapag nasa bahay lang kaya expected na yun na maabutan siya ng isang oras kaya advance ko ng tinawagan.

Kinuha ko ang librong binabasa ko currently which is science related again until the clock strikes at eleven.

Nadinig ko na naguusap na sila ni Nanay kaya lumabas ako dahil mayamaya ay kakain na din for sure.

"Princess, magmomoving up na kayo ano? Anong kukunin mo iha?"

"Hindi ko pa alam tita pero siguro I'll go for HUMSS dahil journalism related course yung gusto kong kunin."

"That's nice, iha!"

"Siguro STEM kukunin ni Ash tita no?"

"Hindi ko alam sa batang iyon iha. Xykz can take whatever he wants naman."

I'm very thankful na hindi ako pinipilit ng magulang ko sa lahat ng bagay. I can do whatever I want as long as hindi masama ata hindi makakasira ng ibang tao.

"I still haven't decided yet but I'll let you know if ever."

I decided to butt in into their conversation kasi baka kung ano-ano nanaman ang itanong ni nanay kay Vien.

Last time I heard her asking if I have a girlfriend. I can't imagine myself being with girls other than Vien. I am too comfortable when I'm with her that everything bad just turns into something good.

The lunch was served and we started eating while my parents are like having an interview again with Vien.

"Iha, diba college na ang ate mo? Ano nga yung course niya?"

"Business Administration tito. Gusto niya kasing itake over yung family business namin."

"Ah kaya pala. Kamusta naman yung business niyo iha?"

And that goes on and on and on. Questions after questions. I didn't give a lot of attention to what they are talking about pero sumasali naman minsan kapag interesado ako sa pinaguusapan.
