"you're here?" yeona called out at the sound of her dorms front door opening. she didn't take her eyes off of the show in front of her, too enticed to do so. her roommate made a sound to indicate she was home, but not only her footsteps filled the air.

"i brought a few people, i hope you don't mind." jinae smiled as she walked into the living room, a few familiar faces following behind her. "woah you guys look rough." the girl gawked, standing from the couch.

"dumbasses got into a huge fight outside of our dorm, i thought i'd let them in and help clean them up." jinae sighed, giving the three boys a look. "okay in our defense, they were hitting on these girls and-"
"save it savior complex." jinae hissed, glaring at haechan.

"so we're playing mom for the night?" yeona glanced at the boys, immediately turning away when she met chenles eyes. "apparently since they don't know how to reasonably take care of themselves." the older rolled her eyes, walking towards the bathroom.

jinae had always been somewhat of a mom friends, both of them were. except jinae was actually friends and took care of chenle and his friends while yeona sat on the sidelines and watched.

"you can sit down i guess." yeona said awkwardly, pointing towards the couch. "nice shorts dimples." jaemin teased, nodding towards the girls legs.

it was then she realized she only had her volleyball spandex on, along with a normal white tshirt with a flower on the back. "thanks, i got them from your mom." she smiled, almost laughing at jaemins jaw dropping.

"damn nana, you just got your momed." donghyuck cackled, slapping the boys back. "jaemins mom is the volleyball coach dumbasses." chenle rolled his eyes, sitting at the end of the couch.

"oh yeah that's true." jaemin hummed. "you are something else." yeona snorted, shaking her head as she made her way to the kitchen to pour cups of water for the boys. "and of course i have to be the one to keep you in check because for the life of you you cannot sit down and read a book." jinae muttered, walking back into the room and setting a few things on the coffe table.

"calm down jinae, it's not that bad." haechan sighed, pulling a hand through his hair. "if i hadn't stopped you when i stopped you that guy would've pulled a knife on you! a knife!" she stressed, walking back into the bathroom to grab the rest of the stuff.

"you guys should try to be a little more careful." yeona frowned, placing down three cups of water. "i know you probably meant well, but-" she was cut off by the door being knocked on. "one second!" she called out, beginning her walk towards the door only for it to be flung open.

"hey idiot hookers." the male that walked in smiled, earning a groan from yeona who began to walk faster. "leave my dorm alone jaehyun." yeona glared, attempting to push her brother out before he could walk in any further.

"but jungwoo has friends over at our apartment." the older shook his head, pulling the shorter into an embrace to stop her from pushing him out of the door. "hey the boys here." he smiled, using the fact that yeona was caught off guard by his hug to push his way into the dorm.

"damn, y'all get beat or something?" he laughed almost immediately once he met the ashamed boys faces. "they did actually. and good, we have an extra person. you can help jaemin." jinae smiled passive aggressively, pushing a few things in jaehyuns arms.

"aren't you glad i came?" jaehyun gave yeona a look to which the girl rolled her eyes at. "whatever, i'll help hyuck." she sighed, only to be stopped by jinae.

"i'll help hyuck, you help chenle." she smiled. yeona knew the meaning behind that smile and wholeheartedly wished she didn't share a dorm with jinae right now. "it's fine, i'll clean myself up." he muttered, grabbing a few things and getting up to make his way to the kitchen table.

if yeona thought she changed a lot from elementary yeona, chenle was a whole different story.

he had grew to be around 5'10, his short brown hair now grown out and dyed a hot pink color. his style had changed completely, he wore baggy and dark clothes and honestly yeona wished she would fit his style.

"okayyy, yeona did you have something for diner?" jinae pursed her lips. "uh, i had just put a pizza in the oven, i figured we could eat that tonight." the girl pointed towards the kitchen. "i don't think it'll be enough for all of us but i can go down the street and get one from the pizza place." she shrugged.

"it's wayy too late for you to go out by yourself." jaehyun shook his head in disagreement as he dabbed jaemins wounds with a q-tip. "well it's wayy too late to call for delivery so unless you guys want to starve." yeona folded her arms.

"i'm sure we have groceries." jinae hummed, wiping the blood off of haechans knuckles. "no, we were supposed to go together but you ended up going out with haechan." yeona deadpanned.

"right haha."
"i'll go after i get this done." chenle spoke from the kitchen table, not looking up from his hands. yeona gave him a little before looking back at jinae, mentally asking her what they should do.

"you're not gonna get it done by yourself, let yeona help you." the older smirked as she pushed yeona towards the boy, ignoring the way she shook her head in protest. "she can help with your face since you can't see that." she suggested, pulling out a chair in front of the boy who looked up expressionless.

"we can go together after, if you'd like." yeona smiled awkwardly, raising her shoulders. "sure." chenle answered monotonously, watching as she sat down in front of them.

yeona cursed the fact that she always got extra nervous around chenle. she didn't like him anymore, her crush was left in elementary school. so why did she feel the need to be close to him all the time and to talk to him and to touch his stupid hair?

the boy looked up after wrapping his left hand, brows raised. "you don't have that many cuts on your face. is your hand okay?" she asked quietly, putting ointment on a cotton ball. "s'fine." he answered curtly, eyes closed probably to avoid awkward eye contact.

there was a silence as she began to clean the cuts on his face, having to swallow the feeling of her heart beating quickly at the small amount of space they had in between them.

"i missed you, you know." yeona spoke up, cheeks beating at her confession. chenle didn't say anything, nor did he move for at least a minute. yeona hoped he'd say something, god she hoped say something, but nothing else was said. at some point, she had finished treating and bandaging his cuts.

"right, shall we go then?" she questioned, rubbing her hands against her thighs. chenle only nodded, standing from his seat and walking over to the door to put on his shoes. "we'll be back." yeona waved, putting on her own shoes before walking out of the door with the tall boy.
