It could have been a normal day but as usual, it wasn't. I woke up to a nice loud cry from my baby sister, Alisha. Sometimes I really wish I was an only child. I looked at my clock and it said 7:30! Great, I thought I had woken up 15 minutes earlier than I could've! All that awesome beauty sleep, wasted away! I got up and got dressed and as I was very tired as I walked along the stairs to see my mom and my baby sister.
"Well you're up early, Nova," Mom said as she fed Alisha her baby food. Yuck baby food, I thought to myself.
"Yeah, some screaming thing woke me up, that was a wonderful thing to wake up too." I said as I rolled my eyes and grabbed a box of cereal.
"Nov, she is just a baby, so let her be one," Mom responded.
"Whatever, it's still beauty sleep," I mumbled while taking a bite of cereal. Dad walked in heading for some coffee, as my older brother, Asher walked behind him on his phone, of course,
"GUYS!" Asher yelled as we all looked at him weirdly.
"Uh, what?" I asked as Asher fixed his hair.
"Oh, nothing I just made a short video of how your reaction would be if I yelled that, CRUSHED IT!" Asher exclaimed as we all moaned. Asher had dark brown hair with dark brown eyes and usually wore an unzipped jacket, jeans and fresh sneakers, he was the casual popular person that I was definitely not. I slid off my chair to put away my bowl and spoon.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Alisha cried.
"BE QUIET ALISHA!" I yelled in anger, ugh everything would be so much better without her. She is so annoying, gets whatever she wants, AND CRIES ALL THE TIME!!!
"NOVA, you don't yell at your baby sister, her pacifier fell out calm down!" Mom yelled, mom is always on Alisha's side too. It's so annoying.
"Calm down," I mumbled with a squeaky voice, they were the ones who needed to "calm down". DING! My phone went as I reached to check it, it was my bff Lucy.
Lucy: OMG! U need 2 come 2 school now!
Me: Tbh i'd rather not lol
Lucy: Trust me u do
Me: Trust me i don't
Lucy: Just do it!!!
Me: UGHHHHHH, fineee not like I have a choice
I wonder what Lucy even wants! School is sooo boring, I'd rather babysit my baby sister all day. Wait. On second thought maybe not or hm I don't know for sure.
"Dad, I'm ready to go," I said.
"Ok, are you ready Asher?" He asked
"Yeah sure, lets go." Asher replied, oh so today he didn't have a friend to bring, which means I have to sit in the back. We go to the same school. I'm in 9th grade and I'm 14 and my brother is in 11th and 17. He failed his driving test so he has to ride to school with us. That's why every time he comes with us to school I'm known as the popular kids little sister, great title right? Me, dad, and Asher got in dad's car and drove off to school as mom walked outside carrying Alisha, and grabbed her arm and waved it around. Ugh, still annoying.
Soon enough we got there and I saw Lucy waiting for me. She was very impatient if she needed something or someone she needed them or it now! I got out of the car and waved goodbye to dad as Asher got with his crowd of stupid popular friends.
"What's SO important Lucy?" I asked as her grin was so big it was kinda scary. She handed me a letter that had hearts all over it and said "To: Nova, From: Secret Admirer." Ugh not one of these stupid love letters that you see in books and movies.
"You have a secret admirer!" She said cheerfully.
"Yeah I noticed, where did you get it?" I asked looking at the note.
"I found it by your locker, BUT OPEN THE LETTER!" She yelled. I looked at her weirdly, I mean like if someone liked me might as well say it to my face than a stupid love letter.
"Eh, I guess." I said as I opened it, and picked up the note, and came to a surprise.
