Blake's POV-

As Matt and I drove to the camp site, it started getting darker, we had been driving for about 8 hours, including a bunch of unnecessary stops. We were almost there when my phone rang, it was Sylvie, she was asking where the heck we are, I started to reply until I saw the pair of headlights coming towards the car, I tried to swerve but it was too late, the sound of my screaming filled the car as we made impact, the last thing I heard was Sylvie screaming, asking if I was ok, that was the last thing I heard, then everything went black.

Sylvie's POV-

I heard Blake scream, followed by sounded like metal on metal, I screamed and repeatedly asked if everything was ok... No answer. I hung up and called 911, and reported what sounded like a car crash, they informed me that someone had already called in one about 3 miles away from the camp site, a young male and female in a mustang collided head on with a semi. Blake and Matt were in a car crash, that was her screaming. I hung up the phone and rushed back to the others, quickly informing them of what happened, we all got in cars and headed towards the scene, that was when it all became so real, there, being loaded into an ambulance was Blake, my best friend, and Matt her boyfriend, it was a scene I knew I would never get out of my mind.

Blake's POV-

Beep. Beep. Beep.

I opened my eyes and looked around the room, trying to figure out what this annoying beeping sound was, and why it was going off. As I looked around I realized I wasn't in my room, I was in a hospital, and that's when the events all came back to me, the phone call, the headlights, my screaming, then everything going black. I looked to the side of my hospital bed, locating exactly what I was looking for: the button that calls for a nurse. I pressed it twice and waited for a few minutes until a young nurse with short blonde hair and stunning blue eyes walked in, she looked at me surprised, then rushed out, just as I was about to calm out for her, she rushed back in with my parents. They ran over and engulfed me in a large hug while repeatedly asking me if I was okay, I quickly answered with an,"I'm okay." until finally voicing the question that was ringing through my head, "Where is Matt?" My parents shared a sad look before turning back to me, my mom spoke, saying the thing I dreaded to hear.

"Blake honey, Matt didn't make it out of the crash, he didn't have his seatbelt on."

That right there was all it took to change myself, I shut everyone out, it was all my fault, if I hadn't answered the phone he would be here, if I wasn't so stupid.
