The Daughter of Hades

Chapter 1

When Patrick saw the crowd moving towards half-blood hill he knew it was one thing, a new camper. He decided he would follow though normally he didn't like meeting new campers at first, they were often scared and had to many questions. As one of the two sons of Poseidon at camp him and Percy got a lot of questions, everyone wanted to be a child of the Big Three for a reason he didn't know. As he reached the crest of the hill he thought maybe, just maybe that he could be friends with who ever the new camper was, he needed a few more good friends. Just then a blonde girl ran through the invisible barrier that enclosed the camp followed by her saytr. The saytr, Grover, looked worried he turned around just as a hydra made it's way through a clearing crashing into the barrier. Chiron yelled something Patrick couldn't quite make out and then Clarisse charged through the barrier followed by some of her Ares friends and killed the hydra in no time. Now that no one was in danger Patrick was suddenly fixated on the new camper standing just a few feet in front of him. The girl had long blonde hair, a mess from running but still beautiful, she must have run a mile but besides her flushed face and muddy clothes she looked unfazed. Her grey-blue eyes fixed on him for a moment then darted away glaring at some campers staring at her. "What's your name?" Chiron asked
"Alyssa" she said
"Alyssa Star"
"Welcome to camp Half-blood Alyssa, I'll have someone show you around"
"Grover, go relax" Chiron said
"Gladly, see you soon Alyssa" and with that he was off.
Patrick was woken from his daze staring at Alyssa when Chiron called his name,
"Patrick, I would like you to show Alyssa around"
"Aww come onnn" Percy complained
"I'm a son of Poseidon too and I'm great at showing people around!"
"Like the time you almost drowned a camper?" Chiron said as he walked away
Alyssa took a few steps away from Percy.
"It was an accident!" Percy exclaimed
Alyssa still looked doubtful
" Aw man" Percy mumbled as Annabeth dragged him a way trying to hide a smirk.
Patrick walked up to Alyssa and asked "so you wanna see the camp?"
"Yeah" she replied
As they walked Patrick was pointing out the cabins, the lake and the pavilion then Alyssa asked,
"When do I find out who my dad is?"
"Tonight at the campfire most likely, that's when most gods claim their kids. Do you have any idea who your dad could be?" Patrick asked
"No idea" she said looking down
When Patrick first saw her he immediately thought of Aphrodite, she was so pretty.
"How were you not tired?" Patrick asked after a while
"Huh?"
"When you crossed the boundary, you must have ran so much. You didn't look tired at all"
Alyssa smiled "track was basically my life before all this happened" she gestured around the camp.
Her hair was still a wreck and her skinny jeans and t-shirt were covered in mud but Patrick still found her extremely beautiful.
"Let's have a race sometime" Patrick smiled at her
"Sure" she smiled back
Patrick showed her the bathrooms so she could get cleaned up and into a bright orange CHB t-shirt when the horn went of for dinner,
"It's time for dinner, you can sit with me and Percy at our table for tonight. I promise I won't let him drown you" Patrick said
"Thanks" Alyssa said gratefully.

When they got there most people were already sitting and Percy was motioning to two spots across from him.
"When you get dinner" Patrick said
"Sacrifice some to a god or goddess of your choice"
"Okay" Alyssa said.
When Patrick and Alyssa went to get their food they got separated in the horde of people so Patrick was seated before Alyssa, he saw her close her eyes and mumble something before pushing some French fries into the fire.
She came and sat next to Patrick not wanting to be drowned by Percy.
"Hey I'm Percy" Percy said after she sat
"Hi, your not going to drown me right?" Alyssa asked
"It was an accident!" Percy yelled again before turning to the Zeus table to talk to Jason.
"Are you nervous about the camp fire?" Patrick asked Alyssa
"Saying yes would be an understatement" she replied quickly
"Don't worry" he said
"You'll be fine."
Then it was time for the campfire.
Patrick and Alyssa walked next to each other Alyssa's heart pounding in her chest, Patricks too but for an entirely different reason. They sat together around the fire and were talking quietly when Rachel Elizabeth Dare doubled over and green mist appeared from around her.
"Oh my gods" Alyssa gasped
"Oh it's okay, she's the oracle" Patrick said
She seemed to relax a little but not much as Rachel was sat on a stool in front of everybody. Then she started spouting a prophecy.
"The daughter of Hades shall soon see that not everything is ment to be, her life will flash before her eyes in the land were those go and cry. She shall harness darkness it's self and will find what she truly seeks most."

And with that Rachel fell into the arms of a few campers waiting and carried her towards the big house, then all Hades broke loose.
"Daughter of Hades? We don't have a daughter of Hades?" Percy asked clearly confused
"I'm not sure I want another sister." Nico said
"Who's that?" Alyssa asked pointing to Nico
"That's Nico, a son of Hades" Patrick replied
The chorus of questions continued for a moment then everyone stopped and looked at Alyssa, "uhmmm what?" She asked.
"Above your head." Nico said
She looked up to see a floating image of a skull.
The camp stood up together and said in astonishment,
"Welcome Alyssa, daughter of Hades."
