The Daughter of Hades

Chapter 2

Alyssa looked scared out of her mind, she was looking around at everybody wondering what they would say, if they said anything at all.
"Alyssa lets go for walk" Patrick said
"Okay." Alyssa said stunned
"I want to go to" Nico said
"Nico-" Patrick started before he was cut off
"She's my sister. Please."
"Let him come" Alyssa said then she walked up to Nico and hugged him.
He looked stunned but after a moments hesitation he hugged her back.
"Let's go" Alyssa said

They were walking along the lake and no one said anything for a while, they just watched everyone continue the camp fire, singing and laughing as if nothing ever happened.
"What does this mean?" Alyssa finally said
"If means your a child of Hades god of the underworld, and you must go on a quest to 'harness darkness itself'" Nico said
"You can take two other people on your quest and you should leave by morning" Patrick said
"I want you two to come with me."
"What?" They both sputtered together
"Nico, your my brother. And Patrick I know you the most"
"I haven't been on a quest since the war with Gaea, and I wasn't even in the prophecy" Nico said
"I've never been on a quest, I've been here 3 years" Patrick said
"Then who else am I supposed to take with me?" Alyssa asked sounding slightly annoyed
"I don't know anybody but you two and Percy"
"Okay, we won't let you go alone" Nico said
"Thank you, and Nico?"
"Yes?"
"Could you show me were our cabin is?"
Nico smiled "Of corse"
And they walked off away from the beach and away from Patrick while all he could think was how scared he was and how brave Alyssa was.
She's been here a day, he thought
And she's not even scared about going on a quest to harness darkness itself.
Patrick was thinking about the prophecy and suddenly it clicked in his mind.
He knew what they had to do.
