Chapter Six

I couldn’t stop thinking about who the killer was. Is it someone I know? Is it someone that I have seen before? I’m sitting in my last period of the day, which is math. I ignored the whole lesson today thinking about the killer. There can’t be any more deaths. I need to protect the supernatural. Well if they are bad supernatural people, then I don’t mind at all. The bell rings and I snap out of my days. I grab my bag and head to my locker. “He love.” Shay smiled at me. “Hey.” I smiled back. “So, what are you doing tonight?” Shay asked. “I don’t know. Why?” I looked at her. “Well…. Me and Jeremy are going to this club/bar. And we still have our fake id’s so…..Plus you need to go because you are performing.” She mumbles looking at the ground. “I am what?! YOU SIGNED ME UP FOR THE TALENT THING AT CLUB ALO?!” I screamed at her. She shakes her head and frowns. “I swear to god Shay.” I smack her arm playfully. “Will you just go with me and Jeremy? And bring Jace?!” She asks with a puppy dog face. “Fine. I will see if Jace wants to go.” I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, sure I will go.” Jace says behind me. I jump into Shay. “Why must people scare me all the time?!” I screeched and people stared. I looked at them and raised an eyebrow. They looked away.  Jace smiled and wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. “Someone gets scared easily.” He whispered into my ear. I giggled. “Ok, don’t have sex in the hallway. That is just nasty.” Shay said in disgust. “Why? Jealous?” I winked at her. “Oh yeah.” She winks back. We both started to laugh. “So I will see you at the club parking lot at 9 O’clock tonight.” Shay says and leaves. Jace and I head to his car. “Will you take me home so I can grab some clothes?” I asked. Jace nodded. We drove to my house and my mom’s car was gone. She must be at work. I ran upstairs and grabbed some clothes for tonight and the weekend. So I can stay the night a Jace’s. I walked back out onto the front porch and locked the door. I got into Jace’s car and he drove off. Tonight should be interesting. I mean I have performed before so this is going to be easy…. Hopefully.

We pulled into the parking lot of the club and I see Jeremy and Shay standing by her car. I got out of the car and Shay runs to hug me. “You look amazing!” She screeches. I am wearing blue skinny jeans, a white graphic tee, with a jacket. And a beanie. My jacket is somewhat like a blazer but it’s a thinner version of a blazer. “Thanks you too!” I hugged her back. She is wearing a crop top with a leather jacket. And a high raised skirt. Her hair is curled perfectly. Her hair is literally amazing. We walked into line and waited to go inside. “Welcome back Xavier and Shay. I haven’t seen you two here for a while.” The muscular security guard smiles at us. “You too Chuck.” Shay smiles at him and he lets us through. The music is blasting to stay the night by Zedd. All of us walked to the bar. “What can I get you guys?” The bartender asked. Shay and I looked at each other. “SHOTS!” we giggled. “I.D.’s” He demanded. We all handed them our I.D.’s. He nods and pours us shots. Bartenders are so gullible. I giggled in my head. We counted from three and took the shot. “Dance with me!” Shay grabs Jeremy’s hand and she drags him out to the dance floor. “You want to dance?” Jace asked me. I smiled at him and I grabbed his hand pulling him beside Shay and Jeremy. We all danced to the music. Like the music took over. I started grinding against Jace and I swear he got turned on from it. He grabbed my hips and danced with me. We danced for about ten minutes until the music stopped and the DJ spoke. “Alright everyone. You know what time it is. We have a few performers tonight. Who is ready?!” He shouts and everyone cheered. “First up is Xavier Reed!” He shouts. And I froze. Oh god. Here we go. Shay pushes me up on the stage. “What song do you want to sing?” The DJ asked me. Oh god. I never picked a song. What song do I know?! Dark Horse! I know every word. “Dark Horse.” I smiled at him. He smiled back. “Whenever you are ready.” He nods to me. I told him I was ready and the music started playing. “Yeah y’all know what it is, Xavier Reed, aha, let’s rage.” I started off and then started to sing. Everyone started dancing. Well this is turning out good. After I singed Katy Perry’s part I then rapped too Juicy J’s part. I never rapped before but I did it so perfectly. This couldn’t get any better. I finished singing and everyone cheered so loudly and I smiled big. I look over at Jace and he smiled at me. That literally made my heart melt. “Now that is what I call a true pop star!” The DJ shouts and everyone cheered more when he said that. I got off stage and ran to hug Jace. “You are amazing!” He said and kissed my forehead. “You are really good at singing… And rapping.” Jeremy patted my shoulder. “I had no idea you can rap.” Shay smiles at me. “I didn’t either.” I laughed. The rest of the performers singed but I was way better than them. After dancing for all that time we went over to the bar and sat at the stools. I ordered a water because drinking after dancing like that, that is not good at all. We danced for a few more hours and went home at two am. Soon as I got to Jace’s we fell asleep. I guess you can say dancing makes you tired…
