he remembered the first week without her. it felt like all those years alone in his room except it was 10x worse. he didn't get why she left him. all of their memories together brought him joy, he assumed that she enjoyed being with him too. why would she date him if not?
"plagg, where do you think marinette is?"
he watched the news looking for any sign of marinette, even asked her parents. they didn't know where she was. that is how the worst months of his life started.
at lunch he would still save her seat, hopeful she would come. alya and nino would look at each other with concered glances, but he pretended not to notice.
father still distant, no one to comfort him. ladybug was there though. every day for patrols she would smile at him. she seemed more tender. teasing him and making him smile, that was always the highlight of his day.
he couldn't talk a lot about his personal life with ladybug, but he felt like she was the one who knew him the best. she would always be there for him. for cat noir more so.
