"Jim!"

The boss yelled. I gulped hoping I didn't screw up something again.

Finishing up cleaning the table from last night, I walked to where the boss stood impatient with his arms crossed I asked, " Yes?"

He yelled, " Why isn't this cleaned up already?! We'll be opening up soon! So hurry up!"

I mumbled, " Well it's going to take a while since I'm the only one here..."

He asked, " What?!" Getting all up in my face.

No need for that. Geesh your so extra.

I replied, " Nothing..."

While putting away the martini glasses and wine bottles and glasses and empty vodka bottles which I dropped in the recycle outside.

Staring up at the sky, I went into a daydream.

I honestly am wondering why I still have this job.

As a bartender.

Not the best but it's something. And I get good payments so I can at least pay for the bills and checks and for my car insurance.

Insurance.

Ugh.

I sighed turned walking back inside.

"Hey!"

I looked up to the loud voice where a fellow friend of mine, Veronica stood happily in a deep blue dress her hair tyed up pretty. I said, " Hey Ronnie!"

She smiled happily walked up to the bar sat down asked, " How ya doing Jimmyy? Did you find your special guy yet? "

Wiping the counter, I grumbled, " I'm not doing alright as for right now... And no I didn't my special guy yet..."

She said, " Well! My group of friends and I are coming by this weekend! I hope you'll be there too!"

I put down the rag stared at her replied, " I'm always here. I get the most shifts compared to everyone else here..." Veronica nodded twiddling her thumbs asked, " Can I get a drink?"

I took out a martini glass and shot glass asked, " Which one? "

She pointed to the martini and showed off her nails for a second. Which were glittery blue.

I asked, " What drink? "

She gave me a face squeaked, " You know which one I like! Combination of vodka and Shirley Temple!"

I laughed said, " Gross..."

She said, " Shut up! I love it! Gets me going crazy! Thats what John says..."

Mixing the drinks I shook the bottle asked, " How is John doing? "

Veronica mused, " He's doing great! He always yaks about Queen and their albums and everything happening and they're coming by this weekend to celebrate! Which is why you should be there!"

I asked, " Why? "

Veronica said, " Well! It's going to be fun! And exciting! You need excitement in your boring life..."

I rolled my eyes pouring the liquid in her martini glass passed it to her said, " My life isn't boring! I just don't have time for excitement... "

Veronica queried, " Then why don't you ever go out?"

I shrugged mumbled, " I don't know... I don't have time for it I guess,"

She yelled, " Your boring! That's why!"

I said, " Stop it!"

She laughed sipped her drink and we started talking about things going on in our lives.

Click!

Closing the door, I sighed in relief.

Finally I'm back home.

That shift was so long...

It feels so nice being back home now.

I smiled checking the clock if I had time for dinner or not.

9:48 pm

I sighed.

Not really. I groaned taking off my shoes, heading upstairs to my room toward the bathroom starting the shower.

Gsssshhhhhh!

Turning the faucet, the water came gushing out filling the tub with water and bubbles from the soap I used.

I had already taken a shower and just needed a relaxing bath.

I slipped in the tub carefully watching the bubbles for a minute until looking outside the window to get a wonderful view of the city.

Wow. It's so beautiful at night.

I settled in the bubbles and grabbed a newspaper article I kept on the cabinet that I placed last night at opened to a new page.

Reading, something caught my eye.

A concert!

By the band...

Queen.

Veronica was talking about that earlier today. The rock band Queen and stuff. I didn't really hear their music but I heard that everyone says they're really good and their music is really good too.

Its worth a shot right?

After my shower, I had a black robe wrapped around me which made me super warm. I'd probably end up sitting on my chaise lounge doing absolutely nothing in a robe for about an hour.

I chuckled walked toward my closet to pick out my pyjamas and would spend a remainder of the night watching a cartoon I loved since a kid called: The Pink Panther.

I settled under the covers turned on the tv show and curled up under the covers watching some episodes for the remainder of the night.
