I was browsing through the really popular stories when I saw Nick's. I have not read them yet but I do plan to. He seems like a really nice person and a good writer too! I was so happy when he agreed for the Q and A, and even happier now that I asked him! Please go and check out some of Nick's work too!

Thanks Nick for being a part of this!  Here's his Interview:

How did you stumble upon Wattpad?

I saw a friend writing for NaNo in university, asked where he posts stuff online, and he said Webook.com, so I was using it for a while to post stories when someone there posted in the forums about a place called Wattpad. Took a look around, discovered the UI here was a billion times better and had rankings and all this wonderful stuff and that was that.

That's nice! Favorite story on Wattpad?

I don't read nearly enough, due to how much I used to be writing and now because I'm working all the time on here already. I'm mostly reading my own stuff all the time, trying to learn from it, catch my mistakes, and catch up on what I was babbling about in earlier chapters. I'm trying to read now on Wattpad more, but I wouldn't single anything out as a favourite. Any light novel/manga style stuff makes me happy.

So you like fast reads?

Light novels is just a name, it doesn't mean short works, just the style. They're like manga in written form, with a picture or two thrown in. Sword Art Online would be an example, and while each book might not be huge, it's a very long series, leading to a large read in the end, probably more than a couple thick books.

Interesting! How did you think of the ideas for your stories?

They come from a lot of things, a lot of reading of different materials, watching videos. I watch a lot of documentaries, and I watch the people around me all the time and think about how they could have a story or where they would fit in one. Or I just imagine what would it be like kind of stuff.

One thought leads to million more, I'm like that too.

Yes usually. Most of my works have a bunch of random ideas in them somewhere that I always wanted to include.

I swear when i write my mind is off in a million tangents. What do you think of your characters?

Depends on the character. But I always treat them like real people and ask myself what they would do, based on the personality I gave them, and then they grow and change and then that shapes my story. I studied a lot of psychology and sociology to help with writing. I create the characters, I put them in a story, then they create the rest

Thats an interesting twist to the writing process! Do you prefer writing on a schedule or updating whenever you are inspired?

I used to just write all the time, but now I need a release date or else I'll get caught up doing other things. So I've done both, I think inspiration is great to start, and then switch to a schedule to push through the latter parts of writing.

How do you stay inspired to write on a schedule?

I go back and read my own work largely. But there's a lot of stuff nobody sees that I don't write that falls off. I'm very willing to dump projects that don't work instead of forcing something that isn't there, so the stuff I put on a schedule I really want to write. But I go back and read my work and then go through it and end up wanting to continue because I myself want the ending.

How long did it take you to start writing stories?

I started writing when I was very young in school. Writing on my own I started in grade 9 with paper and pencil, writing a fantasy book on the bus.

Nicee!! What are your favorite genres to read?

Same as before, anything manga or light novel in style and I'm down. If its an actual manga, I have no limits on genre, will read it all

Favorite music?

I don't really mind most music but glitch hop and liquid dub step usually

Food?

I don't really have a favourite, I like lots of things.

What are your hobbies?

Well writing for the most part, but I play a bunch of video games, or I go wander the city. Watch a lot of documentaries too, like I said, and I play tennis.

Comments or votes?

I like comments because they help direct me, help me see whether or not people like changes, what they're guessing at, etc, and give me a chance to interact. But at least votes are awesome. I know a number of readers I have who always vote on my chapters, though they never comment, and I enjoy their votes as much as I enjoy the commenters

Would you change your stories based on comments or make an alternate version of them? And keep the original?

Yes, I do it all the time. Many portions have been added to my main story based on comments, either cause people were speculating what would happen next or told me what they thought would be cool. I let them shape the course of it, if I can make it work in the book. I could always make side projects too, would like to. And my works all open to fanfiction and fan art. Anyone can make fanfictions using my characters or fan art or anything they like, so I'm open to everything being altered by the crowd.

Coke or pepsi?

I like neither, but I like Sprite over 7Up, so that puts me on Coke camp.

Friends on Wattpad?

As in have I made friends here or have I pulled any offline friends to Wattpad?

I have no offline friends here, but I do have people I get along with on Wattpad. There's nobody I consistently speak with or know a ton about so it wouldn't really be called friendship by any traditional means but there are a few people here and there who talk to me personally and aren't just asking for help on getting popular or with bugs or whichever.

I think it's important to have a group of close or somewhat close writers! Any sneak peeks or previews of your stories?

I try very hard to bring writers of a similar nature together on Wattpad, largely those who are doing light novels or serial writing and the like. I would like to create a group for them and always sometimes work at it. Takatsu and I were discussing something like that but I don't know where it went.

Anything related to Sigma/Star people already know what's coming there with its direction. As for other stories, I do have a second account on Wattpad somewhere where I write more experimental works and test them. Once there is enough content there I'll pull them over here to this account. There's a romance somewhere, a steampunk fantasy, stuff is floating if people could ever find it.

And that is the end of the interview! Thanks again, Nick for doing this! It was amazing to be able to talk to you and pick your brain a little!
