The Hospital Wing, Hogwarts Castle, Great Scotland, 1st November, 1991, 10:00am

Since the incident with the troll (Which was kept quiet by Dumbledore), Harry, Ron and Hermione became best friends.

The trio (convinced by Hermione) visited Celestia in Hospital Wing. Ron took cautions whenever near 5 feet of her, having heard from Madam Pomfrey that she was healing very fast.

"You don't know if she's dark, Hermione! You know who her family is!"

"Yeah! Who knows what dark spells she knows!"

"Harry, not you too! Celestia isn't dark! What do you think she was doing in the bathrooms, then?"

"I don't know—maybe luring in the troll somehow to attack you!"

"You two are so Brain washed!"

Celestia stirred in her sleep, and gasped. Her eyes fluttered open.

"Celestia! Ron, get Madam Pomfrey."

She started to sit up, only to be pushed back by someone.

"No—You need rest—Rest—Come—NO SITTING UP !"

"Gah!" Celestia said, as her forehead was struck with a headache.

"Madam Pomfrey—she's awake!" said Hermione.

"Goodness! Out of here, please! Out!" said Madam Pomfrey. "How are you feeling, dear? Does anything hurt? No? Oh, Headache? I'll give a pain-reliever—wait."

As they had entered November, the weather turned very cold. The mountains around the school became icy gray and the lake like chilled steel. Every morning the ground was covered in frost. Hagrid could be seen from the upstairs windows defrosting broomsticks on the Quidditch field, bundled up in a long moleskin overcoat, rabbit fur gloves, and enormous beaver-skin boots.

The Quidditch season had begun. On Saturday, Harry Potter would be playing in his first match after weeks of training: Gryffindor versus Slytherin. If Gryffindor won, they would move up into second place in the house championship.

Hardly anyone had seen Harry play because Wood had decided that, as their secret weapon, Harry should be kept, well, secret. But the news that he was playing Seeker had leaked out somehow, and Harry didn't know which was worse—people telling him he'd be brilliant or people telling him they'd be running around underneath him holding a mattress.

It was really lucky that Harry now had Hermione as a friend. He didn't know how he'd have gotten through all his homework without her, what with all the last-minute Quidditch practice Wood was making them do. She had also lent him Quidditch through the Ages, which turned out to be a very interesting read.
