It has been around 3 months since y/n and Bucky's first date and let's just say they have gotten very close . They have been on multiple dates after that and have met up with Steve in the time . Bucky had been shipped off to England for the war so it was just me and Steve on our own , and honestly it was hard not being with him for sometime . We weren't official or anything but I really felt a strong connection with him .
* in the science lab *
I dusted down my lab jacket and placed my glasses on so I could see clearer , I don't usually wear glasses but today I wanted to as an extra precaution. I looked around and watched as machines blinked red and green , the other scientists flood the room and gathered to look at the massive green machine which was the star of the show .
" Mr stark . Doctor . Rogers is outside the door " a soldier said .
My jaw dropped to the ground .
" bring him in " Howard demanded
" excuse me Howard I thought it would be me ??" I said angrily walking up to him and poking him in the shoulder .
" no , it shall not be you miss y/l/n . We will test you after we try it on a male first " he said calmly , flicking my hand off .
" how is it that you know him ?"
" he's my best friend and he never told me about this -" I responded sadly .
" and did you inform him that you were planning on doing this "
" no .. not exactly " I sighed
" very well " he said walking off towards the door .
The doors opened ,Steve and a beautiful woman walked through the door . The whole lab stopped what they were doing and looked at Steve , including myself . I was the first person he noticed and instantly he turned red . They walked down the stairs and everyone started what they were doing again .
" good morning " dr .Erskine said shaking Steve's hand who still had his eyes on me .
A camera flashed as they shook hands .
" please not now ." The doctor said waving his hand to get him away .
" are you ready ?" He asked , Steve nodded his head .
" good ."
I walked over to Steve and pulled out my hand ,
" Rogers , I was not aware you would be testing the serum today "
I said shaking his hand and giving a small smile towards the agent next to him .
" and you are ? " I asked the woman .
" agent Carter . Peggy Carter ." She said .
" well it is nice to meet you " I replied .
Looking back over at Steve .
" good luck Rogers , this will be life changing if this is successful. Which it will be ..
now please may you remove your shirt , your tie and your hat " I demanded and he did as I said .
He handed them to me and I placed it on the side as Steve slowly got into the machine .
" comfortable ?" Dr .Erskine asked Steve .
" it's a little big " Steve joked
Which made me and dr .Erskine laugh .
" mr stark , how are you levels ?" Dr .Erskine called out
" levels of 100 percent " Howard said walking over to us .
" good " dr Erskine and I said .
" agent Carter don't you think you'd be more comfortable in the booth " the dr said to Peggy pointing at the booth .
