A/N: Guys, believe me I feel horrible I haven't updated this in forever and I left the last chapter off at a cliffhanger. I'm sorry, I've just been a little less active then I usually am but I will try to become more active.
Dipper's POV:
Mabel and I decide to go follow her, and see what's up. "How are we going to track her?" Mabel questions. I think about it for a second. "They'll surely be footprints. But we can always just leave now
and see how far she's gotten." I say. Mabel nods and we walk out the door.As we make our way outside, a strong breeze passes through, and leaves us shivering. Mabel was just in a party dress without a coat, so she was probably more freezing than I.
"Dipper look!" Mabel exclaims. I look. There were footprints that looked to be Rachel's, leading into the woods. I shiver, not out of coldness just out of fright.
The woods was where most of the blood chilling monsters dwelled. I did travel there a lot in the day, mainly for mystery solving, but I would never, and I mean never consider going in the night. But I had to. For
Rachel."Mabel lets go." I say, motioning for her to follow me. She nods and slowly makes her way towards me. Everything seemed scary at night.
Every snap of a twig, wind breeze, and the slightest noises would set me off, causing absolute fright. Mabel would seem worried, but I would reassure her everything was fine.
As we deepened into the forest, the noises and lighting only got worse, and soon it got so bad that Mabel had to cling to me. Finally, it felt as if everything had come to a stop.
The wind stopped blowing in its scary way, and there were no sounds to be heard. The quiet got a little to suspicious, so just as I was about to go look around, something pounded me to the floor.
Mabel's high pitched scream broke the dead silence that hung above us, and as I looked to see what pounded me down, I felt like screaming as well.
Rachel had me pinned to the floor, with bright red eyes, and the sharpest fangs ever, and I could tell because they were nearing my body with practically every breath I took.
Rachel looked insane, as if she had been possessed, and I couldn't help but feel sad. This was the end. I was about to die, and I was about to be killed off by the one I loved.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek, and Rachel started laughing. "This is the end for you, and a very tasty meal for me." even her beautiful delicate voice sounded insane, so I knew something was wrong.
Was she possessed by some vampire creature? Or a ghost? Either way I had no time to think about that, because I was the one about to become the ghost.
Mabel had been to silent for a while, so I knew something was going on. But just as I was about to call for her name, an ear piercing sound emitted near where she supposedly was, and as Rachel cringed in pain of the earsplitting sound, I knew it was my time to escape.
I pushed Rachel off of me, and started to run like it was for my life, which it was. "Mabel you saved me!" I say, in between breaths. "Yes, I did but you can thank me later. Right now we gotta run from psycho Rachel over there." Mabel says, pointing back.
I look back to see if I can catch a glance of Rachel, only that was a big mistake if I didn't want to give myself a heart attack. Rachel had appeared to be right behind me, which only encouraged me to run faster.
Eventually, I couldn't do it anymore. I collapsed to the ground, and Mabel unknowing of my collapsed body kept running, as she should have.
As I lay down, I stared up at the big moon and all of its wonderful stars. It was so pretty, and beautiful, but it was pretty sad just as I was about to die I only had realized its beauty.
Suddenly, Rachel's crazed face had appeared before mine, and I knew I had to accept my fate. I closed my eyes, and got ready for my fate.
Memories flashed through my mind, all of my family, Mabel, Grunkle Stan, my parents, Wendy and Soos. Wendy and Soos may have not been blood related to me, but I still considered them part of my family.
I could feel more tears running down my cheeks, as I had never gotten to say goodbye. But, after a while of what seemed like waiting to accept my fate, I had felt nothing bite into my skin.
I opened my eyes, and looked for Rachel, who wasn't hovering over my face. As I looked around, I found Rachel, and she seemed to be fighting off a monster.
Why hadnt she killed me? Why was she fighting off a monster for me? Questions raced though my mind, but I seemed to set them all aside while I watched her fight.
She fought with grace, and agility, which was definitely beautiful to any human eye. But Rachel definitely wasn't human. She was a vampire, and it surprised me that I hadn't figured it out earlier.
I still loved Rachel, surprisingly enough, even after she had tried to kill me. I just couldn't help myself, she was just so beautiful. But since she was a vampire, and it was a full moon tonight, I guess I had also suspected that she wasn't exactly herself.
The monster then crashed to the ground, making a loud thud, and causing a mini earthquake. Rachel then looked over at me, but she didn't look like she did before, she looked like her normal self again, with her eyes it's beautiful blue again, and no fangs.
She ran over to me with concern, and I just smiled up at her. "Your back to normal!" I say. Her eyes were filled with tears all over. My body ached terribly from all the running, and mini earthquake I had just experienced, and my body had seemed to hurt everywhere.
Tears fell into the floor, and I could tell Rachel felt horrible. "Rachel.. It's okay... I know your a...err I mean I know you weren't yourself." I said, trying to make her feel better. She just shook her head.
"I hurt you dipper, I knew I was too horrible for friends. I think it's best we just stay away from each other because I care about you too much to see you hurt." Rachel says. And with that, my love had disappeared into the forest. Now, I couldn't seem to control my sadness.
