Chapter 7: New life in heaven

After a while of Cream's crying, she wipes her tears away.

"We should finish up this interview before we get sidetracked."

King stands up before responding, "Don't worry. I'm getting back to it right now."

He looks at me and Heaven when I ask him, "So since he was a demon, how did he win redemption?"

He smiles before getting on his knees, "It's a long story, but I'll be happy to tell you."

It's been a thousand years since the formation of the world. King and Cream watch people go on with their lives. A lot of them were either dancing with their spouses or playing mini-games. In this era, lots of people were nothing but peaceful. Everything was just perfect. Thanks to lack of demons since that one incident from the very beginning. Oh, did I mention that those in poverty and the sinful receive bad luck? Yeah, that's the bad part about those times.

Cream was fluttering her legs back and forth laying on her stomach against the grass, "Isn't it so peaceful? I love seeing people have the time of their lives."

King responds with a smile, "Yeah. It's been a thousand years since we've last seen a demon."

A loud crash can be heard before screams of shock can be heard. Both of them saw a random guy crushed by a metal pole.

King sighs, "Of course. These times are the worst for sinners and those in poverty."

Cream responds, "I wish there's something we can do to protect them from bad luck."

He looks at the people trying their hardest to help the guy when Lady appeared in front of the crowd. They both watch her check on the guy when she look up and shook her head. This is officially one of the hundreds of deaths that has occurred thanks to bad luck. The wife and two children of the man burst to tears while on top of him. Not only is the crowd at the moment of silence, so is the Gods. Cream hugs him sobbing before he hugs her back.

He picks her up, "Why not we go up to heaven and stay up there for a while?"

She looks at him before she nods. He looks out to the crowd before yelling, "Lady!"

Lady looks around to see them on a hill, "Oh, we're leaving now? I'll be right there." He nods before disappearing into a glowing dot and floats away.

She looks at the crowd, "I'm so sorry. We're doing our best to prevent more deaths like this. Hopefully we'll have a solution soon." She disappears into a glowing dot and floats away.

At heaven, King watches the galaxy with the billions of stars spread around it. Cream and Lady build things out of clouds. Sweetheart looks at the one by one pool of water used when someone wants to be revived. After a while, he looks at Sweetheart before walking up to her.

As he got close, his hand's on her shoulder when she made eye contact and sighed, "I don't know what we can do. We've tried every possible method and it still didn't help." He didn't say anything. But, it took him a moment to get an idea.

"Sweetheart! I know what we can do!"

He looks back, "Lady! Cream! Come here! I think I have an idea!"

Both of them stand up and ran, "Coming!" After they meet up, King continues.

"This is something we've never done before but. I feel like we need a new god."

Cream responds, "Really? I don't recall any appearing since the world's created."

"Well, of course there's not gonna be one otherwise they would've been here right now. So, I will search for one."

Lady grew hesitant, "Don't tell me you're going down to hell to look for one."

He looks at her, "As crazy as it is, it'll be worth it. They have more experience compared to a normal human. It's actually impossible to make a human a god."

Sweetheart responds to Lady, "He actually has a point. Some demons don't stay the way they are forever."

"Don't worry, it shouldn't be that hard to find one. I'll be down there and search around."

Lady responds, "Please be careful. Some demons can manipulate you."

"It'll be fine. I got a backup plan if it does happen. See you all later." He disappears into a glowing dot before floating away.

In hell, two demons watch all the other demons torture sinners in worst ways imaginable. They felt an unusual presence when they turn around and see a glowing dot.

One grunts, "Oh come on! What could they want from us now?!"

Not long after that, it enlarges into King. Both of them, knowing him, move out of the way when he walks past them.

The other demon grabs his attention, "Hey! You're gonna need someone to bring back with you!"

He stops before turning around, "Well you're in luck. I'm looking for a new god. You know anyone that would be happy to be taken?"

"About time! You're gonna want to take Yukuru with you! Devi's looking at forcing him to join the sinners today!"

"Interesting. I suppose I'll talk it out with him."

He turns around before he smiles, "Honestly, for a pair of demons like you you're really helpful."

"Oh shut up! You'd destroy me if I didn't---"

He walks off, "Yeah yeah, I'm just here for that specific reason." When he's nowhere to be seen, the two demons stand against the wall and went back to guarding the entrance.

While he walks around the place looking around, he found a demon with teal hair sitting down sobbing. When he sees him, he recognized him from The Holy Mess. Flashbacks from those events pop up. As he regained thought, he was hesitant regarding if having him as a god is a good idea. However, he has hope before walking up to him. When he got close, he got on his knees and looks at him. Yukuru reveals his eyes before looking at King. He gasps before finally talking to him.

"K-King! What're you doing down here?!"

"Yukuru. I need you to join me."

He was about to scream when his hand over his mouth stopped him then lets him speak, "Are you nuts?! Did you forget about all the horrible things I did?!"

"I know. But, there was nothing but bad luck going on. I need you to help me solve this. I know how much you want me and the gods' forgiveness. Trust me, I've done horrid things myself. I don't want to make these mistakes to create history. For that, I'll forgive you for all the sins you've made."

He tears up while his eyes widen before he hugs him bursting to tears, "You have no idea how sorry I am! I wish I can undo everything I've done!" He looks at him before hugging him back.

He picks him up before he looks at him, "Don't worry, I'm not gonna allow Devi to hurt you like that. You don't deserve to be tortured like those guys over there." 

He starts walking him towards the same place he came from to take him to heaven. The same two demons that're guarding the area moved out of the way when King walk past them and disappears into a glowing dot.
