I felt Harlow start to fall asleep. Her breathing had slowed and her crying had stopped. I placed a kiss on the top of her head and then grabbed a throw blanket and put it over Harlow. I turned on the Tv and put on some random cooking show. Harlow started to turn around, so I wrapped my arm around her. Eventually Brady and Larri came into the living room.
"OOooo the love birds are cuddling." Brady laughed
"We are literally friends you assholes." I joked back
"Mhm. Totally. Friends." Larri said laughing
"Oh fuck off" I said
They went out the front door, and then I heard the car start. After I heard the car leave the driveway the house was quiet again.
"Alexxx." Harlow mumbled starting to sit up.
"What's up low?" I asked turning towards her.
"Can I ask you something?" She asked rubbing her eyes softly
"Sure, you don't have to ask.", I laughed
Before I could realize what was happening Harlow's lips crashed into mine. I felt so many emotions at once. I was happy and surprised and I couldn't even describe it. It felt like time stopped in that moment. As I started to finally comprehend what I was feeling, Harlow backed up and our lips parted. I pulled Harlow in close to me and hugged her tightly.
"Just friends.", Harlow laughed as she got up and walked into her room.
I just sat there in shock. What the fuck just happened, I thought to myself.
