BANGING in my head woke me up in the morning

BANGING in my head woke me up in the morning. I rose from the bed a bit, wearing the same stuff I did during the party apart from my shoes.

With a groan I moved off of the bed and walked to the bathroom. Ignoring the shitty way I look, I opened the cabinet and got some painkillers.

I took my clothes off and got into the shower. My head got a bit better as I started humming to myself, enjoying the cold water hitting my overheated body.

Soon I was out in my room, putting on some sweats and sneakers while my magenta hair was still wet. I got out to the living area, but there was no one there.

With a sigh, I went to the door and left the room out to the corridor. Heading to my Godmother's study.

As I came upon the sturdy doors, I opened them without knocking. My eyes met the sight of my Godmother, sitting behind a huge desk with her wife not far from her looking through some papers on a couch that was in the room. Their eyes were on me as I entered.

"Ah, Dorothea! How was the party yesterday sweetheart?" Kassandra asked, her teal eyes brightening at my sight.

I nodded at her "Kassandra. It was alright, although my head hurts"

"Too much alcohol will do that, little dove" my Godmother said, sarcastically while at her desk.

Shrugging I said "I know. But what are parties for"

Kassandra came over and wrapped her arm around me saying "Oh I remember my youth! I was bathing in wine under the Greek sky! Wonderful times, truly" she led me to the couch asking "But enough of that. Tell me how's your guitar? Have you written any songs yet?"

Leaning on the couch and crossing my legs, while putting my arms on the backrest, I said "Not yet. But I have couple of ideas"

"I remember when your father used to play. He was always humming something under his breath! He even was in a band while at college!" Kassandra said, smiling to herself while remembering the boy she and Aldris raised as their own.

My eyes watered a bit, thinking about my father but I blinked it away saying "It's nice knowing that apparently music is something that I got from him aside his looks"

"Oh sweetheart... you got so much more from him too. Especially now, you act a lot like he did in his youth before your mother came along"

I laughed asking "So my father was an angsty rock-boy?"

This time Aldris answered, as she finally stood up from her desk and leaned on it looking at her beloved and goddaughter.

"He was. It was a rebellious time for him, but he softened when your mother came along. And when you were born? Gods this boy became a living and breathing imitation of the word 'soft'"

I laughed at that, remembering my father. He was always the more soft parent, while my mother was a bit wilder and at times temperamental.

"It's so weird to imagine him as an angsty teen in some band t-shirt and ripped jeans" I said with a small laugh.
