I would have made this chapter longer, but I didn't have time, but enjoy~
You'd gone back to school on Monday, even though aunt Cass tried to keep you home. You and Hiro hadn't told anyone about what had happened to you yet, but you knew you'd have to eventually. As you were walking to math, you caught sight of Hiro... being swarmed by a bunch of girls. In fact, you could barely see him. And among them... was Clare. Now, normally, you would have just sucked it up and moved on, but for some reason, you decided to confront them. You tucked your books into your backpack, and stalked over to where Hiro was.
"Hiro?" His sheepish smile immediately fell once he saw you.
"Oh, hey (Y/N), I was just..." You turned to look at Clare, who was shifting her weight from foot to foot uncomfortably.
"Can, I talk to you for a moment?" Without waiting for a response, you seized his arm, and pulled him a few feet away from the crowd. "What are you doing Hiro?" You hissed. "I thought you said you'd stay away from Clare! We agreed on it!" Hiro nodded slowly.
"I was going to tell her okay? But then, she brought all these girls along, and they were going crazy!"
"Oh, great, so now you have your own fan club?" Hiro smiled a little at the thought, and you smacked his arm, wiping it off his face. "I'm going to talk to Clare, and you -- go to class!" Hiro nodded, and took off down the hall at a slow jog. You heaved a breath, spun on your heel, and stalked back over to Clare, blood pumping in your ears. "Clare? We need to talk." She turned around from talking to one of her friends.
"Oh, it's you," she said flatly, looking you over. "What do you want?"
"I want to talk about how you got my boyfriend drunk, and made out with him!" You growled. Clare only smirked.
"He's a great kisser," she replied, almost dreamily.
"You better stay away from him!"
"Oh, yeah Or what?" She scoffed, talking a step towards you. You knew you should just walk away... But there was something that was keeping your feet frozen to the spot.
"He's my boyfriend Clare! He doesn't love you, he loves me!" Okay, that was a bit cheesy. You cringed as Clare and her friends broke out in fits of laughter.
"Oh, you think so? Then how do you explain him kissing me back?"
"He was drunk, you --" You were cut off as Clare threw her bag down, and jumped on you. She was a head taller than you at least, but you were sure you outmatched her inn strength. You were one of the few girls who had sighed up for gym class, and right now, you were incredibly grateful. She had pinned your arms to the ground, and straddled you, so you couldn't move.
"If I were you, I'd give him up now," she whispered. That was when you snapped.
Managing to rip one of your arms free, you swung it up as hard as you could, and hit Clare square in the face. She stumbled off you, clutching her nose as it bled all over her hands and blouse.
"You little brat!" She screamed through her tears, backing away from you. By now, there was a small crowd of students clustered around the two of you, and apparently, a teacher had seen what happened, and rushed over to you.
"What the heck is going on here.?" He snapped, taking in the scene.
"(Y/N) punched me!" Clare wailed, pointing a bloody finger at you.
"She tackled me!" You shot back.
"Both of you, come with me!" The teacher ordered sternly, grabbing both your arms and pulling you down the hall and into a door marked "vice principle". He'd forced you can Clare into chairs, the teacher sat down behind his desk and sighed heavily.
"Look, I don't know -- nor do I care -- who started it, but we don't tolerate fights here." You nodded solemnly.
"Yes sir," you mumbled.
"Now, you," he pointed to Clare, "-- go to the nurse. And you, get to class."
