How?
How did this happen?
THE YOUNG BOY'S legs shook as blood splattered his clothes, blood that was not his own.
"NEZUKO! Don't die! Don't die on me!"
"I'm going to save you no matter what!"
The blistering snow pelted Tanjiro's face almost like little needles that had penetrated his cold skin
"I won't let you die!"
"I swear your big brother will save you! No matter what!"
The boy's face was strained and painted with worry and determination, his steps were painfully slow till he became unbalanced slipping off a small icy cliff.
"Damn it!" Tanjiro cursed as he fell ways down, the snow cushioning his fall.
"I slipped because of the snow but it had saved me as well.." Tanjiro sighed with relief at the mere thought. His eyes widened a moment later, Nezuko.
"Nezuko! Nezuko, are you okay?" Tanjiro's eyes wandered to the standing figure in front of him.
"You don't have to walk, I'll piggyback you to the town, it's not far!" Nezuko slowly turned to the slight masculine voice of her brother, her eyes soon caught his, but the look was strange, the once lifely-filled eyes were slitted and wide, sharp canine-like teeth bared tight together. Nezuko lunged for Tanjiro similar to a predator and its prey.
"Nezuko!!" He shouted as he fell back, the axe that hung loosely at his hips was used as protection, trapped between his sister's teeth. Her features matched those of a demon
"Is Nezuko... a demon? Now I remember what Mr. Saburo had said... Nezuko became a man-eating demon? It can't be though! It's not possible... Nezuko was born a human! She's was a human since she was born." Tanjiro struggled to think as he strongly held the axe's handle in his hands in which kept Nezuko at bay. Tanjiro inhaled sharply through his nose
"But she doesn't smell like the usual Nezuko." His mind wandered to whether she was at fault for their family's death, Tanjiro's eyes became comprised of horror, he gritted his teeth.
