We are not society's beauty but believe it or not we are our own beauty. We stand confident in who we are. We wear and show ourselves with pride and integrity. Contentment, tranquility, patience, beauty, and color are very powerful words. Wonder about them, repeat them, and remind yourself about who you are and how to navigate this world. Everything you are feeling may be temporary or one of life's lemons. But you will learn and survive. Not everything is fair or suppose to be fair my brown girl, but God knows what he is doing. Listening before talking is key. Staying positive is a choice but not a burden. And not always feeling your best is human. Melanin is like a flower with honey. It cannot be replaced nor copied. It is Gods most beautiful mark of beauty that you can only have through blood. Some see it and hate not because they don't like it but because they can't have it. See your beauty and hold on to it. Never doubt it and never let it go. Because one special day God will show you that it is worth the emotional fight. Take deep breaths. Trust me. Everything will be okay.
