Nobody ever expected Nightwing to fall.

More precisely, nobody expected Nightwing to collapse during a mission, his knees crumpling underneath him as his thin frame tumbled backward. A fist almost made contact with Robin's head as he caught sight of his foster brother crumbling for some unknown reason. Instead, Ladybug's yo-yo crashed into the goons head, allowing Robin to start towards Nightwing, who collapsed into Superboy's arms.

By stepping closer, Robin was able to see the dark patch on Nightwing's side, an indication he was bleeding. Robin reached out, wanting to latch onto his older brother in some form. "Older brother? Why the hell am I admitting I care once things get like this?"

What happened next remained a blur in Robin's head. He knew the team finished their mission, but everything went well except for Nightwing unexpectedly becoming injured. Superboy carried Nightwing into the infirmary. Robin followed despite knowing he would be of no use. Watching the uniform stripped back, revealing a long, red gash against the former Robin's pale skin made him want to vomit.

"Out."

Robin blinked, his mind not registering the order. Delicate fingers wrapped around his forearm gently and pulled him away from the scene, tugging him into the area the team used for winding down. Feeling the couch at the back of his legs as the person guided him made Robin sit down. His head tilted back. His neck rested against the headrest of the couch while his eyes stared at the ceiling up above.

"What happened?"

"I don't know."

Robin tilted his head, realizing Ladybug guided him out of the infirmary so he might sit on the couch. "Hi."

"That's a rather lackluster response coming from you."

"What were you expecting?" he muttered.

"Well, a lot of curse words for one thing."

"Oh." Jason turned his head so he might look at the television. Nothing was on, but then Superboy came in and turned the tele1vision on so he might watch the static. He sat there, feeling numb.

"Why don't we have a sleepover?"

"What?" Jason didn't flinch. His mind, after all, barely registered what Ladybug said.

"The older team members had campouts, or so Kid Flash told me."

"Is this really the time for having campouts?"

"I think it is because that means you'll be allowed to stay tonight. You'll then be here if there is any change in Nightwing's condition."

"I'll go and get the camping gear," Superboy said.

Jason watched the clone get up. He still felt numb. Ladybug laughed. "Who said you were invited?"

"What?" Superboy looked her in the eye. "I don't think the adults would appreciate the two of you camping alone, but I'm not that naive."

"I was teasing. We're trying to cheer Robin up and keep him occupied, right?"

"I guess."

Jason brushed everything aside, not caring that they were attempting to do just what Ladybug said they were, but then...

He saw the night sky and thought about how Nightwing would chatter away about the different stars if he were there. More importantly, he would tell him to turn his smile upside down. "Thanks. For doing this."

"You're welcome."
