It's all just blurry. I really don't remember much. All I know is that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Who knew that one tiny event could lead to a massive downfall of an entire country.

I sat by the window watching as trees as fields fly past, feeling the gentle rock of the train and the quiet murmuring of other passengers just going about their days. I put my feet up on the opposite seat and rested my head on the window waiting for the food cart to come to me.

I noticed the train slowing down, I assumed we would be coming to a stop soon. The quiet murmers stopped. I heard banging and screaming in the cart just ahead of us and quickly hid myself under my seat without warning any of the other passengers. A few moments later the door slammed open and watched 4 men in black walk in with guns yelling at everyone to join them or they will die. I quickly covered my ears and curled up to not be found. Tears silently flooded from my eyes. I wasn't ready to die yet. I was only 16. I had no friends, no more family. I wanted to live my life, fall in love, have a family of my own. I was convinced this rebellion was going to take my future away from me and I was partially right.

After hours of hiding, I finally convinced myself that everyone that was once on this train, going about their day was either dead or being used by a gang of terrorists. I quietly emerged from my hiding place and looked around the cart. An irony smell polluted the air. I got out of the train and ran. I ran as fast and far as I could manage.

That is what started the downfall of our country.
