"Steven, have you seen my reading glasses?"

Lucinda looked frantically from side to side, eyes searching; under the television, beside the kettle, on the sofa.

"Honey, don't worry about your glasses. Relax." Steven said in a gentle tone, trying to calm his pregnant wife. A sudden knock at the door echoed through the house, heard over the soft patter of rain outside.

"Lucinda, Steven! I brought the mail in, 'cause it would get really wet in this terrible weather."

Steven opened the door to find a man in a fluorescent orange jacket, drenched from head to toe. Steven beamed at the postman.

"Thanks a bunch, mate. Did you hear about our baby?" Steven proudly asked and extended an arm towards the house to invite him in.

"No! Oh, congratulations!"

"He hasn't come out yet, but he will soon!" said Lucinda with a gentle smile on her face.

"Have you got a name yet?" The postman sat down, exhausted and relieved to be in the warmth of the house, as Steven made his way to the kitchen.

Lucinda chuckled. "Not yet. Do you have any in mind?"

"Mmm... What about David?"

Steven furrowed his eyebrows in thought."No, I don't think my mother-in-law would agree. She is very excited about having a grandson, but she is picky about the name. We tried William, Patrick and Liam, but she didn't like any of them."

A moment of silence entered the room. The rain had become heavier, and poured like cats and dogs outside.

"I've always liked the name Ivan." said the postman.

"Hmm. That's a good suggestion. Lucinda? What do you think of the name Ivan?"

"Yes! It's a nice name. We'll take it into consideration. Thank you."

"Would you like some tea or coffee, while you're here?" asked Steven, who turned the kettle on.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'd better get going. Can't get too slack on a job can I?" the postman laughed heartily. "It's great to catch up. Call me when the little guy comes out, will ya?" he walked to the door. "I'll see you soon!"

"Thanks! Bye!" the couple called out in unison. The door shuts, which left Lucinda and Steven looking lovingly at their soon-to-be son.
